Except banks, renters, and debt collectors won't wait to charge interest, etc. It IS a big deal if you're not getting the pay check...although some are now collecting unemployment, so they'll basically be making extra out of this down the road.

Some people live paycheck to paycheck. Or don't you care about that at all? Or is it all their fault for living from paycheck to paycheck?

She does not have a ton of experience, but asst coach (already tagged as interim) was JuCo head coach before going to King. What are the odds she loses interim tag? To say that she was a JUCO head coach is an absolute joke! She took over an up and coming program in the conference I coach in and wrecked it. When she got to her JUCO, they had a full roster for the next season. By the time season started they had 7 girls and had to forfeit half of their matches. In her "2nd year" they didn't even field a team because she couldn't get enough girls. Did I mention her FT gig on campus was as an admissions recruiter?!? Somehow after getting fired from both positions because enrollment was down and they weren't going to have a team again in 2018, she got lucky that King had a late and desperate opening. If she somehow gets the HC position, prepare for that program to be a laughingstock and you'll know the university didn't do any homework.

But as a female HC, I'm usually supportive of other females in our profession. But honestly if she gets this position, it would be a prime example of hiring a young female for the sake of hiring a young female and ultimately that hurts women in the coaching world if they fail because they weren't ready for or deserving of the job to begin with. And honestly, while it may seem like a personal attack, it's not... it's all facts. My professional interactions with her were pretty much limited to conference meeting calls since we never actually played them while she was coaching because they couldn't field a team... so no bad blood.

I am confused. So has the King job just posted or has it been posted and they have decided to hire the JUCO coach that wasn’t able to field teams?

She led the team (the juco team she coached) to 3 straight wins. Wow, if only any of us in the coaching world could lead a team to 3 straight wins. Do u know where we could be? Do I dare ask? What if we could lead a team to 4 or 5 straight wins? Sorry you all, I know, I know, that's just ceazy talk. Probably Hall of Fame stuff.

Coach Wagner returns to his roots: This is a great story. I'm not sure there is another coach in the country who could make it happen up there. People in Havre still think of him as a god-like figure; the volleyball coach who got away. Good luck to Jerry.
