I think Poulter is promising. I will not be surprised if she joins Lloyd, Hancock, and Carlini competing for a position for Tokyo. I think so too, that’s a strong quartet of setters to be competing for the Tokyo spots. The depth at setter is nice... the only unfortunate downside is our best is probably not near the best in the world. And our system demands the best in the world.

The USA system does not demand the best setter in the world. It demands a setter with a particular (and thus, sometimes, narrow) skill set.

She`s used to play high ball....she joined Conegliano and she was able to deliver this fast speed right away. Not to mention she joined Conegliano right after the WCH and mostly everyone were just coming back from the ECH which ended like 1 week before the start of the league. Which means she basically had 0 practice with her teammates. So why is so difficult for all these Americans to deliver this fast speed? They all have been in the gym for a whileeeeeee....

Regarding the setters - why aren’t they able to deliver while Wolosz can? Maybe because they don’t even have to play that way in club? Club season is longer than national team season.

Quick end of league format question.
So at the end of March the league will wrap its regular season.
After this what is the format?
According to the schedule I would assume the top 8 seeded teams get matched 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5, Play home and away marches and then move on to the semis (home/away) then Final best 3 out of 5 matches?
Is this correct?

has Flo been streaming live Champions League?
Their Champions League page has not been update since December. There`s no games available on demand.
I just signed for 1 year. I`m afraid I made a mistake.

I`m afraid I made a mistake. To my knowledge they were only showing matches in Pools A and E during the 4thr round. I’ve been meaning to email them asking if they plan to show the quarterfinals at all. I’ll get on that.

I also want to know if they will show the quaterfinals, semis and final, because if they won`t I will need to cancel right now my 1 year subscription. I will be messaging also, and PLEASE if you do reply to you let me know...I will do the same. Thank you.

The USA system does not demand the best setter in the world. It demands a setter with a particular (and thus, sometimes, narrow) skill set. What do you mean by that? The USA system isn't as diverse--by design--and therefore, our setter isn't expected to make as many creative or difficult in-match choices. And some skills, like deception and foot speed, aren't as important in this system.

Poulter continues to build her portfolio as a future must have setter taking Chieri to 22-22 against Novaro until Egonu and Barstch close them out 25-22 in the first set. An astute GM will be looking to sign Poulter to a two year contract as she grows into one of the top Club setters of the future.
Imoco goes back to their starting five, Fabris at OP, and quickly takes the lead a first set going away against Firenze behind Hill's five kills and one block. 25-16.

Poulter sets Chieri 23-21 before Novaro closes out the set 25-22. Poulter is setting the example for NCAA players wanting to move into Club or NT play. Her choice for a half season on a team where she could immediately start is the proper track. Last year Lee went to Imoco where she came off the bench. Now she is full time in Turkey and vastly improving her game.
I think we will be seeing Poulter setting a CL semi-final team in the next five years. As for the NT we will probably have to wait until Karch finishes his last two years in what looks to be judged a reputation damaging disappointing two quad stint as the USNT coach.

Chieri takes the 3rd set 25-21. Novaro the 2nd team playing their starting five and Chieri 2nd from bottom who just last week scored their first victory against any team above Club Italia, the Italian youth team.
All done with the addition of just one player, Poulter. She just put another feather in her cap and is very close to "lift off" in her pro career.

Now ..do u think Chieri would even win one set if Carlini was their setter???......

Chieri takes set four 25-19 and we go to the tie breaker. If Chieri pulls this off it will be the upset of the season for the Italian league. Regardless I think this clinches Poulter as the Italian all-team setter for week 10.
