Nice fight from USC that’s a tough ask without Lanier and Botkin but Washington way to show you can get it done on the road

I'm glad I had Washington at #24 this past week on my ballot. Another Pac12 meat grinder match.
Congrats to the Huskies.
Trojans, tough loss but don't count them out.

go uw! albeit with asterisks
There won't be any asterisks on the Selection Committee's lists/reports.
I was one of the voters who took the Huskies in a sweep. No joke. Considering the only set win by the Trojans was a deuce set, I wasn't that far off.

UW needed this win. Spotting the Trojans 15 points from the service line helped keep this one close.

The custodial crew could be home in time to watch Colbert. Attendance: 465.

Will they, though? Who provides them that information?
That is, how do the assess how much an injury (or injuries) affected a match?

That is, how do the assess how much an injury (or injuries) affected a match? As I understand it, they do usually account for injuries, but mainly only in the sense that they consider the roster at tournament time and whether there are starters that have recently returned (boost in seed) or starters who are injured for the tournament (reduction in seed).

So, you're saying that a win or loss during the season, affected by an injury (or injuries) by either team, would not be considered by the selection committee? Only the roster(s) as of the week leading up to selection day?
It would seem like a lot of info IMO for the committee to consider for every match played during the season and process whether a win/loss was affected by injuries.
