I don't get it. Why would anyone pick Tennessee over Missouri on the road? Unless you're rolling the dice on an upset. And 20 people did it?

Missouri hadn't lost at home this season. There was no excuse for what happened tonight. Grr.
Arizona State scored 6 points in a set last weekend. Yet, they were picked by 24% of voters over UCLA this week. If that isn't an indictment of the current state of UCLA volleyball, I don't know what is.

So that is one reason someone would pick them. [edit: only fair to add that I have Tennessee at #18 this week, and have had them in Top 25 for 7 weeks now, probably longer than most folks have].

You might think Tennessee should not have been ranked at all, but both the VolleyTalk Poll and [*shudder*] the AVCA ranked Tennessee higher than Missouri for the past two weeks.

Tennessee has a new coaching staff that has the team improving each week.
Based on recent play I thought Tennessee should have been the favorite and am surprised only 20 vt'ers were keeping up.

I'm a big fan of Eve(and Tyler) and I initially picked them to win. But after seeing Missouri's home record, I switched-OUCH!!!!. Eve definitely has Tennessee on the rise.

Exactly. I thought Tennessee was probably the better team, but seeing that Missouri had just BARELY lost in 5 at Tennessee, and was 10-0 this season on their home court, seemed like the Home Court Advantage would be enough. Next time, I'll just go with my gut.

OTOH, it might have just been an anomaly. That's the tough part of ranking teams.
Tennessee's best win, prior to this, is still beating San Diego, who's not exactly a powerhouse this year -- AND a team to whom they also lost.
