oregon state or Ohio state? Well, it says she's going home and she's from Oregon, sooooooo..... Yes she's from Oregon and she has transferred to Oregon State. Guess the distance was too much and didn't want to stick with it.

One that slipped my radar from earlier this week, Iowa State's Hali Hillegas is transferring, destination unknown. LinkAn excerpt from the link: "Hillegas played in all 92 of Iowa State's matches over the past three seasons. She was the Cyclones' libero for the second half of 2016, all of 2017 and the first half of 2018. A 2017 AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, Big 12 Libero of the Year and All-Big 12 First Team, Hillegas leaves Ames with 1,477 career digs, a total which ranks No. 7 in ISU history." cyclonepower I don't remember you ever stating in your Big 12 / ISU posts that Hillegas was replaced as libero in second half of 2018 season. I saw ISU play a couple times and never noticed she was not libero, but she did play in all matches last year. Since she red-shirted her freshman year and played last 3 years, and with summer classes she probably is graduating and will look to do graduate school and final year of eligibility at new school if she feels she will not be libero at ISU next year.

Yeah, we lost at home to Oklahoma in October and that was her last match at libero. I don't think it got noticed much because ISU then had two-straight road matches and a bye so it was like two weeks before any home fans saw it and by then it was old news to the team. IMO, it is not a massive loss. Izzy Enna was good at libero last year, and the one thing ISU does so well is produce good liberos and defensive specialists. Hillegas came to ISU after playing as a S/RS in high school, and became Big 12 Libero of the Year, it is what CJL and co. do. We will live. I see a few fellow VB fans at basketball games, so I will have to try and get some scoop on what happened and/or where she is going on Saturday.
