Anyone have access to the transfer portal? Heard that recently there was a libero that was listed who’s strongly considering Hawai’i. We really don’t need another libero. We will get all the liberos coming back for next season and will be getting one from Texas(Georgia Via) that is coming in with the setter Kate Lang. With many of our incoming OHs being 6 rotation players, might not be enough PT to keep everybody happy. We need another experienced setter or an experienced middle. Unless the transfer could potentially be a one-and-done senior like Akiu, and there's also a chance that the libero may be a walk-on instead of on a scholarship. Sure I would prefer an experienced setter and middle over a libero, but it's nice to have options in the back row.

I will take somebody like Jhenna Gabriel if she wants to come home. She can compete for the setter’s job next season and can also play back row if needed. She is facing stiff competition in Texas with Elliott bringing all kind blue chippers...including Nalani Iosia(Noreen’s sister) at libero and Naomi Cabello at setter. The top setter in the country of the class of 2017 Ashley Shook is going to be there for two more season with Cabello being groomed to take over afterward.
If Jhenna comes home she can learn on the job this season and then win the job next season. Choy and Iosia are gone after this year. Lang is good but to ask a freshman to start her freshman year is kind of expecting too much.

The libs that we have coming in don't really have that much court experience, except for our DS from last season. The potential transfer that may come would IMO easily start at lib, and would be a potential Kahakai/Akiu type. We don't have that now.

She's proven that she's more than good enough to compete, and even unseat Shook as starting setter. She'll still have to compete for the next three years, but she's definitely up to the task. Don't see her coming back.

Oops I thought I clicked on the D1 Transfer (2019) thread. Was I mistaken because there are 87 pages and less than half of the posts are actual "Player X is transferring to College Z" posts 😒 Clearly there is a need to trash talk players with rumors and unsubstantiated facts while labeling a player as a cancer, Facts are facts, America

I guess that is up for debate. I figured Shook being a first team UA AA would put her at the top of the class but if you thought Hilley was.....I got no problem. I also based my statement regarding Ashley after reading an article of volleymob.com. volleymob.com/texas-gets-commitments-2-underclassmen-blue-chippers/

Then don't blame me. Blame volleymob for putting that there. I'm just a regular joe who loves volleyball. I'm not some talent expert. Hook em Horns?

Correct, although Lilley is the best. that’s debatable. Hilley is definitely making an argument. For what? She's had a top-10 recruit at nearly every attacking position (except one) for her entire career, and Wisconsin still underachieves. She even benefited from a top libero transferring in.

She even benefited from a top libero transferring in. that’s a lot of words when you could have just said you think Lilley is better. I like Lilley a lot, but regardless of everything you just said, Hilley is who I would rather have running my offense.
