Preseason schedule is official gohuskies.com/news/2019/5/20/huskies-assemble-exciting-nonconference-schedule.aspxKeegan Cook: "Wisconsin is the type of team at the top of the Big Ten that we want to be playing against late in December. We know Wisconsin's going to have an outstanding crowd when we go play there and we want the city of Seattle to return the favor a little bit when they come over two days later."

This has to be the most challenging pre-conference schedule (travel-wise and competition) that UW VB has ever had.

I think this will easily be top 3 in non-conference schedule difficulty this season. Stanford is the only team that i know of that will probably have a tougher schedule.

Two questions: 1) what's up with Sianna Houghton? I haven't seen any LOI ink on her. 2) what's up with Camryn Tastad? UW could use her too. Houghton is a walk on.

Wisconsin sure is tough, but other than Illinois can we confidently say there is another top 20 team we are playing non-conference at this point? Not really. I think in the computer this is a very good non conference SOS.

OH Keeley Davis made a national team and Ballenger played well against UW. I suspect this team will be top 25.

I don't disagree that Creighton could be good next year, but in week 2? a top 20 team?....meh. Lets not marginalize the loss of all of their pins. Winters, Kloth, and Zumach accounted for like 65% of all their points.

Again, maybe....which is what I said. I think the computer will like this non-conference schedule come December, but subjectively, I don't think UW is playing a for sure top 20 team in the preseason other than Illinois and Wisconsin.

I think they could end up being very good come season end, which will look good for UW on paper, but I don't think these are particularly tough teams out of the gate (them being away matches notwithstanding).

Your original comment was "...can we confidently say there is another top 20 team we are playing non-conference at this point ..." Whether San Diego, Creighton or Hawaii deserve to be in top 20 vs whether they are in the top 20 are two different things. You need to define what you mean by top 20. If it is the AVCA top 20 you're referring to, then yes, there easily could be 2 or 3 of these teams in the top 20 early in the season.
