You have really mucked up this thread now by bringing that dummy in here Yes, I apologize. It was my arrogance shining after he was irritating me on another thread and his dissing of Lexi Sun all year, as well as the Huskers' inadequacy and then targeting Minnesota. Just needed to point out one last time which team will be playing on Thursday, and which team will be at home watching. Regardless, that's on me. Apologies again. Yeah, he tries to belittle every team in order to make his team look better. He blew up another thread taking on Minnesota fans

No we just served and defended them into not looking very good. Go ahead and not give us any credit it doesn’t matter. We will just keep moving on. If you think Nebraska was tested at all in either of their match ups you are wrong. This is to not credit Nebraska I think they played steady volleyball. They were solid but they were never really pushed or tested. If you think the level of volleyball they played was comparable to some of the other matches we have seen across the tournament I suggest you watch more than just your team play. Anyone with eyes can see that the same Oregon team that knocked Minnesota out in the round of 16 was not the same one that played you guys in the regional final. Was it they were emotionally exhausted who knows? Also Kentucky gifted Nebraska nearly a set worth of points. That is one of the worst performances I have ever seen from Lilley and Edmond. They never relaxed in their match. I think this is largely to the pressure of playing Nebraska but they weren't really even forcing Nebraska to play great volleyball. This is not to say Nebraska doesn't have the ability to do that I just don't think it was ever displayed over the last 2 rounds. I stand by what I said. Ok? LMAO

Most likely? I bet you change your mind Thursday night when Illinois fans are vastly outnumbered by Husker fans That wouldn't change my mind. I realize that will probably be the case, but I also think that the Illinois players will get a respectable amount of support, especially when you consider that most Minnesota fans will probably be cheering for the Illini, too You might be right about that. I don’t know who Minnesota fans will support. That could be an equalizer for Illinois. Nebraska fans are very resourceful however and will find a way to get in to see the game

Look if you aren't going to respond with any substance more than a traditional teenage text message kindly direct your tags and quotes somewhere else. I like the debate offered from knowledgable posters on this board it allows me to discuss something I thoroughly enjoy, watching volleyball and I would never expect us all to agree its part of the fun of it all but your post is boring, lazy and lacks any thought.

Nobody predicted that Nebraska to go all the way last year and oh yeah they won! Foecke is too good to just roll over and let somebody else take it. This is the first senior class in school history to appear in all 4 Final Fours.

Quit making up stuff. I have been a longtime supporter of Husker athletics. I already said Nebraska made those teams look bad with the serving and defense you idiot. You choose to believe those teams didn’t show up to play. Don’t respond to my posts anymore if they’re so boring Mr. Knowitall. I can’t hang with you because your volleyball knowledge is so immense LMAO!!!!!

I played with Illinois in one of the old EA NCAA College Football games. Despite being in the B1G, it was tough to recruit for Illinois because it's seen as one of the lesser teams in the B1G re. size, football reputation, lower athletic expenditure. Took them to 4 bowls, including 2 national championships. The only team I really enjoyed beating on a regular basis was Nebraska and USC. I'd run up the score, time permitting.

Hoping that Illinois losing 1st set against Wisconsin was a wake-up call to play lights out from the get go. I'm rooting for Illinois (3-1) over Nebraska.

Nebraska I think needs to elevate their game a little they didn’t do anything too spectacular in the Minnesota Regional they just played steady and both their opponents pressed too hard and imploded. No we just served and defended them into not looking very good. Go ahead and not give us any credit it doesn’t matter. We will just keep moving on. Having been at the Minneapolis Regional semi-final and finals I can agree 80% with vfan24 and find HPower1 to be a deluded homer. Had the matchup on Friday been NEB vs ORE and MN vs KY it would be MN in the final four. KY was IIRC correctly hitting -.224 midway through the first set. NEB was never seriously tested and played relaxed from the lead until the third set when they maybe got caught coasting. <paragraph> Had Stone on Saturday been the MB she was Friday NEB would have had more of a tussle. NEB did stress ORE's serve receive better than MN, but the Ducks were at 20-20 in the first and then had 3 hitting errors in a row. The second set had a deuce at 23. After two sets the Ducks were hitting .316. Adrenaline can take you only so far. What kind of "defended them into not looking very good" are you talking about? Ore ran out of gas halfway through set 3 and were clearly just hanging on. The Ducks did not have as much energy at the net against NEB and were not closing blocks with the same facility as they did Friday... and MN was generally running as fast or faster an offense. <paragraph> We were rooting for a better (longer) match Friday afternoon and KY seemed to get their legs, feet, & arms in gear in the third set. Then inexplicably, at 23-20 they yielded five points in a row. NEB certainly gets credit for playing their game. They CERTAINLY had an easier road over the weekend. The best performance [edit except from BYU], by far, over the weekend in Minnesota and perhaps all four venues was the Duck's performance Friday. Aside from the deflated Gopher set 3, the match was the most competitive of the day in ESPNU land. edit[BYU TX played 3 close sets, but the aura of the match was solidly in BYU's favor. Only the TX block kept it from being more lopsided] YMMV 20% reduction for vp24 for the use of 'imploded'. Am still too shell shocked to re view the entire MN ORE match, but I will do so sometime soon and will enjoy some INTELLIGENT conversation about it. For now can we just say that ORE played super vball and MN ought to have made adjustments that they didn't.

I wish this was the final because I like Nebraska ....but Jaque Quade is my new crush so I want Illinois to win it all with Quade as MVP.

I hope Tamas has his Illini squad ready to beat NE. Not only would it be sweet for him to beat Cook, but some of these Nebraskans need a slice of humble pie. Also Quade has been a pleasant surprise all year

Nebraska players aren't choke artists. 😁 Must've been blackout drunk in 2016 then, huh? But we don't have to talk about that... Kumbaya... They just got beat.

That match will be interesting. I'm curious to see if Tamas can use his knowledge as a former Husker coach to Illinois' advantage.
