Didn't watch the match, but followed the stats. Saw that Butler was playing in the 3rd set. Did she play the entire match, or did she sit out a significant portion of an earlier set? played the entire match Just in time for Baylor.

Looking at the updated box score against WVU:
1) I can't believe Texas ended hitting .400 in the last set. At one point they were negativ
2) I can't believe they had ONLY 4 service errors!
3) Asjia O'Neal? 8 for 8, 1.00. Way to break out of your slump!
4) Season high 12 blocks
On the other side:
a) Looks like WVU may have found a new starting lineup. Got them 5 blocks in the 3rd set
b) Was pleasantly surprised that the WVU commentators weren't total homers. Were pretty fair in describing good plays for Texas as well as WVU
WVU actually kept it’s line up the same in that set, however it was a new lineup for this match. Their L1 went out last week and their L3 was in a boot today.

What I meant was that the commentators said that between the second and third set, the coach changed the starting rotation order, which might have had a better effect with the blocking against some Texas players.

Ah, yes. They did change the rotation that set.

not sure what to think about the match on wednesday. outside of the stanford, byu, and rice matches, i have watched every second of Texas vb. at the same time, i have watched zero seconds of baylor vb.
i think Texas can win. i think baylor can win. we shall all find out together.

Agree 💯 that her health comes first. And that the hope is that she’ll be able to play a full match by the time we go into the tournament. My question is while they are counting her jumps, would they consider playing her 2/3 of each set (probably 2 full rotations right?) and that would buy her an extra set at the end of the match if it came to that. I’m not sure what her jump count is, and it could be the case that she’d be allowed to play a fifth set based on the current numbers, and we just haven’t faced that yet. I guess to clarify my concern, if they’re maxing her out now in the first two sets, what would be the harm in spreading that jump count out over the last three? Since Petersen subs in for Brionne in the back row, then when she rotates to the front row and Molly would sub in instead, not sure if that counts toward the sub count.
Regardless, subbing Molly for Brionne during a set means Molly can't sub in for Jhenna on the right side for a bigger block; that would mean Orie would be the only sub available for Jhenna (unless we try Shook).
Shook would be a good idea, big blocker but a setter can still be on the floor in transition

The interesting part of this video is when they start throwing up names of Baylor players playing well this year or those that have always played well (Pressley), asking "did you recruit her?" "did you offer her?"
Jerritt played it pretty well. He didn't get frustrated. I guess he's used to having to answer these type of questions when playing teams such as Kansas or TCU (Burse and now McCall).
As he says, "We only have 12 scholarships"

In Elliott's case, he can also come back with the "would you rather have X (on the other team) than Y (on our team). In most cases, the answer would be no or at least a toss-up.

Since when has there been this much excitement for a home conference game? Even when Kansas was good for those two years, I feel like it still doesn't compare to the excitement for today's game. Reminds me a lot of when I was in college and Nebraska would come to town.
I hope the fans blow the roof off Gregory! Purdue 2010 style!
