Did not realize until the WVU commentators mentioned it that Texas was leading the country in hitting percentage.

Not bad for a walk-on setter!

The complete loss of focusness in that third set was ridiculous. Literally everyone played with their eyes closed, idgi

Looking at the updated box score against WVU:
1) I can't believe Texas ended hitting .400 in the last set. At one point they were negativ CORRECTION: They hit .200. Oh well
2) I can't believe they had ONLY 4 service errors!
3) Asjia O'Neal? 8 for 8, 1.00. Way to break out of your slump!
4) Season high 12 blocks
On the other side:
a) Looks like WVU may have found a new starting lineup. Got them 5 blocks in the 3rd set
b) Was pleasantly surprised that the WVU commentators weren't total homers. Were pretty fair in describing good plays for Texas as well as WVU

Not bad for a walk-on setter! Not to pick a fight, but I wonder how much of our hitting is because of the talent of our hitters and less of our setting?
What I mean is:
a) Texas notoriously bad at serve receive and passing b) which leads to awkwardly passed second balls (think Sydney running for her life and bump setting the ball over her shoulder) c) which leads to a slow, floating high ball that our OH are used to crushing because d) they can JUMP and have cannons for arms
I've always wondered, are we that good at hitting well set balls are we just even better than everyone at hitting balls totally out of system?
