Penn State loses both OHs, Nia Reed and Taylor Leath, along with setter Bryanna Weiskircher. In 2019, the OHs will be sophomore A. Cathey and the following ranked recruits.
The freshmen will be Lauren Clark, Sydney Ferguson, and Gabi Bailey.

The roster you see on Paper now is not the roster you will often see come Sept 2019
There isnt a program out there who doesnt apply to this statement, including PSU.
NCAA D1 is hard.

Wow, that is a young team. No juniors and a whole bunch of sophomore and freshmen. I haven't been following PSU recruiting; can you tell me if the incoming recruits are on senior aces list?

Yes, the starting lineup will be very young next year. White will likely be the only starting upperclassman.
The 3 OHs coming in 2019 are all ranked (in no particular order): 31, 44, 93. The 2 incoming DSs are not ranked.

With Serena, Katlyn and Tori, they will have a well seasoned block with Kendall roaming the back for defense. Who is the 6 rotation OH? Is Blossom the automatic answer at setter and Parker remains an OPP?

Is Blossom the automatic answer at setter and Parker remains an OPP? PSU may be running in to a setter issue next year. Blossom is a blocking liability. If they go to a 5-1 with Parker, that takes her off the opposite and leaves new faces on all the pins (YIKES!) If they go to a 6-2, it limits how many subs this team can use in the backcourt (also YIKES!).

The best case scenario would be two of these three freshman pins working out then Parker could move to setter. But u can’t take her off outside with no reliable pins right now

6-2 with Parker setting/hitting and Blossum back row with Phegley or Gray RS for her. Gray train as an OH ? Hord, Gorrell in the middle, Cathey and any of the frosh as the OH’s. Good lineup options

Hopefully they make the tourney. C'mon, akbar, you don't seriously think they have a chance for the 2019 Tournament, do you? I mean, they didn't make it this year with three seniors. Oh wait, they did. But none of the returning players have any experience. Oh wait, Parker, Gray, Hord, Gorrell, White, Hampton, Cathey, Blossom and Sciorra all have considerable experience. But no OH returning starters -- this season they had two OH returning starters. Oh wait, they didn't have any returning OH starters this year. But Gabby Blossom is short -- Penn State has never won with a short setter. Oh, that's right, Kristin Carpenter, starting setter in the 2010 NCAA Championship season was 5-6. And not really a setter. OK, I'm off on a few facts, but really, facts are overrated.

Yeah that was fun. That was transition year between glass and Hancock. Big difference carp still had phenomenal pins to get them through. Carp had slay and brown and Scott and Wilson and mclendon and di errico at libero still that was a lot of talent.

I was thinking she was 5-7, but 5-6 is even better. Plus, she wasn't really a setter.
