Any word on where local product K. Zumach is transferring to? I see on her twitter she just announced she is leaving Creighton. Indiana. Dang Indiana might be the dark horse for Big Ten this year.

Dang Indiana might be the dark horse for Big Ten this year. What? Dark horse to finish as high as 7th?

Anyone else think we might still see a transfer setter joining us soon? I have no insider knowledge. Just what-iffing.
I do know I will miss Nielsen.

Not that it proves anything really, but McMenimen was just featured in the Pav construction update video alongside Rollins. So my guess is they're going with her as the backup.

As outstanding of a player SSS was, her blocking was her Achilles Heel. If she was only born about 4-5 inches taller or with springs in her feet. That was part of the reason for the double sub. Which IMO, did not work as well as we wished.
Anyway, with that being said, I would hope that they are looking to bring in another transfer setter. Yes, McMenimen is the backup setter right now, but isn't she shorter than SSS? So, I am with craftylefty and hoping they are looking for another setter. I am not saying McMenimen cannot set, to me she is just too short at the net for our offense. After watching the only home Spring Volleyball match, it looks like we will be running the same offense as last season.
Obviously, the players that have transferred out were not happy with their playing time and rightfully so. But, under the current circumstances, IMO Nielsen for the above reasons will be missed.

McMenimen is 5'9" according to the roster. Moves like Chloe Collins sans southpaw. Seems like a good kid.
Gg imagine is SSS were a 6 footer?! I imagine that hypothetical on most smaller setters (i.e. Collins) or undersized hitters (Member-Meneh). Honestly, just having Member-Meneh's vertical would've made up for SSS's stature. She had arguably the best speed, tempo, and reliability, just needed a little more jump. Based on very limited footage, Miller seems to have a similar block to SSS.
Also, when did the "big" setter become popular? Carlini? I feel like 5'9" used to be perfectly normal if not on the taller end.

This 2020 class is very promising. Minn is stupid close to making that final push.

This 2020 class is very promising. Minn is stupid close to making that final push. Mcutcheon sure is using this 2019 transfer exodus to some advantage. I've heard he offered Endsley once she decommited from Nebraska but when she didn't end up going I suppose he still looked for a good recruit. Wenass decommitting from A&M is a big get, a very solid 6 rotation prospect for the 2020 group.

Reading the VNL threads and complaints about the current liberos....anyone feel that McGraw could have a shot there after a few more years?
