I am cautiously optimistic that Mizzou can pull the upset over Nebraska. I think Nebraska is not that great of a team and over the last 6 years this is probably their weakest team.

I hate that Georgia lost.... Tonight at least. Can't wait for them to lose to LSU in a few hours though!!!!

I guess I should stop questioning Tom Mendoza. Mikayla Shields hit .340 in SEC play; she should have been getting more swings. But coach was determined to limit her usage. Allow her to swing hard on her serve. It all came together last night. She was fresh at the end of the 5th set and her serving was clutch.
I don't expect the team to win today, but I'm sure we'll scrap.
Good luck to the rest of the SEC teams today!

I'm a very pessimistic person by nature, but I will say that I'm more optimistic this time than when we played them last year in the 2nd round. Not having Caffey hurts but anything can happen. Next year I think we should be pretty good, since we are only losing our libero.

I thought u were Texas fan? Georgia being up 2-0 over Cal Poly and then losing 3-2... that bums me out for SEC, and I know it was painful for professorplumSo true....AA OH who hasn’t played all year plays and helps nip us in 5. Painful as it was, it was a good, healthy, season for the Dawgs! Go SEC!!!

You've sold me with your cautious optimism and I predict that will be the difference maker tonight, Mizzou in an epic upset in 5. UM defense needs to play out of their minds tonight.

First off, epic, hahahhaha. Secondly Nebraska is generally very consistant in tourny no matter what they have. I wouldn’t bet against them and I’d actually love to but I feel it would just be waste of money😆

Add to the fact they've lorded over UM, 72-3... Yikes! I'm from the Show-Me state and I have to hold that same standard to the home team, but what kind of fan would I be if I didn't at least have a little optimism to balance out the pessimism?

I actually think a tough competitive match would be more beneficial for Nebraska moving forward although I’m sure their fans want a stress free match. But I guess in round two maybe you don’t want that cause your gonna have tough match second night also and your prob gonna want to conserve energy. Guess that only works opening weekend
