Not sure how GT gets 4 in first team and Sabrina Starks of Pitt is shut out. And Akeo not making freshman of the year after she won freshman of the week a record 8 times, plus anchored Pitt to #2 is a disgrace.

I’ve followed GT closely for most of this year because Bergmann was my fantasy team MVP. 3+ kps, 3+ dps, with an ace every other set and being the best passer on her team is hard to pass up. She was also the only new player in the lineup to take them from 6-12 to 14-4

Only 1.61 KPS though. Gotta think the offensive stats did it. She's improved throughout the year though and should challenge for 1st team next year. Just started running slides in the last few games so progress has taken some time.

Bergmann is very strong and, IMO, a close second. I guess if GT made the tourney, we'd all be scratching our heads a little less. I think Akeo is more deserving. This 17 y-o kid, who was expected to maybe be part of a 6-2 at the start of the season, took the reins and ran this offense like a veteran, elevating them even higher than their 2018 season.

How do you vote Akeo Freshman of the Week seven times - literally half the awards this year went to her - yet at the end of the season give the award to someone else? Doesn't make much sense. She and Bergmann were for sure the two front-runners, but if Akeo was more deserving week-to-week in the ACC's eyes, how is she not more deserving collectively?!

The answer is that SID vote for weekly awards and coaches vote for end of season awards. It’s not a contradiction.

Congrats to UL for advancing to round 2. Also FSU to a pretty defensively fun match to watch. Great Career for Caffrey.
Good luck to ND and Pitt today

I expect Pitt to advance to the 2nd round, but ND will be dependent upon which UCLA team decides to show up.

Same. I think WKU and UL will be a battle. ND is good when they dont commit so many unforced attack errors.

Pitt loses to Cincy in the second round. The ACC continues to look like a joke to everyone else.
