Their "beach season" only exists to give their indoor program a reason to go to Hawaii for Summer Break. Why are they playing Community Colleges in California.. why are they playing D2s.... Why not go to LSU or Texas and play some more dedicated beach teams. Why does the NCAA still allow schools to have a season last 26 days... which is actually better than the week and half they did a few years ago.
I think this program only exist to skirt Title IX requirements. Are there any players that are beach only that aren't Grad transfers?
Good luck with Mira Costa and Irvine Valley College

Good luck with Mira Costa and Irvine Valley College Technically Nebraska having a beach team, even if not at full effort, is still good for growing the beach game as a whole. The more "top" indoor teams with beach programs, the easier it is to sell to an administrator at other D1 schools that their school needs it to compete.

The more "top" indoor teams with beach programs, the easier it is to sell to an administrator at other D1 schools that their school needs it to compete. That's the reason/excuse John Cook gives, he's helping to grow the game. As of now there's no other D1 schools within driving distance of Lincoln, and thus it's not possible to help convince the school to put more money into the sport and make it not just extra practice for their indoor team. Though if other B10 schools felt it was such an advantage for Nebraska to basically have an indoor beach team, then they would do it too.

I wish the Stanford vs. Nebraska meet would be televised. Well the Plummer vs. Foecke match up at the 1 spot would be awesome.

Neither is Maloney or Foecke. They have also been removed from the roster. They both have been making the rounds signing VB related items for money.

I admire what Nebraska is doing with its Beach Volleyball program but I wonder how cold weather teams deal with the elements and heat, which can't be replicated indoors. It was hot on Queen's beach yesterday.
