After playing well their last couple weeks and winning the first sets against LSU, the 4's and 5's for USC revert to their early season woes and inconsistency. Kaiser broke down on 4. LSU just needs one more win. Coppola/Nuss or their 3's are their best shot. Funny enough people thought Joy was the issue at that spot early in the season but she carried that pair in the final set. I mean, she was the issue most of the season. Good for her for getting her %*$# together.

Food for her for getting her %*$# together. haha, you're not wrong. It's peculiar that it has to go to the extreme for her to actually play to her potential. It's almost as if she was sandbagging.

would you rather be a fresh UCLA or a warmed up USC going into the final?

I think the rule of not being able to go back in after illness/small injury is dumb.

It will be big for UCLA to go into the final 3 pairs up 2-0. Hope Yeomans/Simo continue to play like this in the second set.

Wow. Kaiser %*$#s the bed with 3 straight errors for USC to lose the 4s.
Can USC sweep the 1-3s?

UCLA up 2-0. Let's go Bruins!
USC not out of it yet. This happened at Pac-12 Championships and USC came back to win.

Not sure about the set up for the finals where the lower flights go first. UCLA is already up 2-0 so the match between the top two pairs in the nation could be meaningless. It will rob the tv fans of watching high level beach volleyball. Maybe they should go pairs #2 and #5 first then go 3;4 and then one or something like that. NCAA is going to have to find a better setup. If UCLA wins pair #3 it’s all over. They should show 2,3 Then 1’s and 4’s 5’s last with obviously the most attention at the 1’s

#2 and #5 first with the emphasis on #2. Then #1,3,4 with emphasis on #1. This way you get to watch and two best each has to offer and allow for either #1 or #2 to be part of the win. Right now if 3, 4, 5 win their dual first, #1 and #2 is meaningless.
