FSU barely squeaked that out. Arizona had match point on 4 and led 13-12 on 2s in the third. AZ 3s easily handled FSU 3s. AZ better than I thought. And FSU not a good as I thought . Stetson/AZ starting now.

Stestson 3-2 over AZ. Came down to the third set on line 2. My observation is FSU and Stetson not that spectacular and AZ getting better with recent lineup changes. Stetson took 1s and 2s in three.AZ took 3, 4 in two and 2s decided the dual in three.

You are right about AZ being better, than what I thought also. While I did not see them versus FSU, they looked solid in the second match.
However, AZ hopes for a NCAA bid are pretty much done now, barring a miracle finish in PAC12 tournament. Their soft schedule gives them no chance to catch up to other contenders.

Agree that Arizona looked better than I thought they would but I definitely thought FSU and Stetson played higher level with more complexity in their play than Arizona and are overall stronger teams.

Is this Hallgren and Poletto’s first loss of the season? Good for the 4s and 5s for stepping up. Good for the 2s to bounce back after a crappy Friday.

Loving the bruin domination, I hope they can go undefeated.

Barring a bad day, the only team able to stay with UCLA is USC. I believe the Bruins are better, but SC is quite capable. The Trojan 1's and 3's are better than the Bruins 1's and 3's, so all they need to do is have a good day one any of the remaining pairs. The schools will play against each other maybe 5 more times, counting Pac 12 and Gulf Shores. My guess is SC will take 1 or 2 of those contests, but it will not be easy.
Post by trianglevolleyball on Mar 24, 2019 11:24:44 GMT -5
Why aren’t Hallgren/Polletto playing 2’s? Seems like winning the top 3 pairs is USCs only hope against UCLA.
