Well I guess I just didn't search the web for sites dedicated to gay athletes. My bad. I notice they didn't defend her in any way, though, so your point in continuing to raise her sexuality over and over again is....?

I don't care about her sexuality, but her coat is horrendous. She should get 20-to-life just for that.

She'll be trading it for an orange jumpsuit soon. 😂 I think a plea deal will come with no jail time but with a huge fine and at least a $400,000 payment she owes on the 1.3 million she received in this scheme. I wonder what comes next in this saga? I'd say people quietly covering their tracks is what is going on right now. Maybe certain kids quietly transferring out of schools, deals behind closed doors, and in some cases more payoffs. We've already seen that more people will be implicated in these types of scams, and I would predict that would continue as all schools start to look a little closer at certain admissions decisions.

Lynn is going to leave sooner or later. Who has worked at USC since 2002 and worked her way up in various positions until she became the most powerful woman in the USC athletic department and was a protege of Pat Haden who is a beloved USC legend? USC likes to keep it in FAMILY. And that is the problem...keeping it in the family. Same with the Lakers franchise. You can't keep in the family if the money programs are failing. Need to shake up the staff and get some fresh blood in there.

Need to shake up the staff and get some fresh blood in there. Matt Leinert will be the next AD if they go the traditional route. USC is broken. The Lakers are just getting started in a disastrous run. They will get no top of the line free agents this summer and will be a train wreck for the next 5 years. Jeanie Buss owner of the Lakers is a USC trustee. The only thing worse run than USC right now is the catholic church. He would be the best looking AD in the country. What a disappoint he was in the NFL. Specifically, for the AZ Cardinals.

Without looking it up, can you guys even name the schools that famous politicians, personalities, and CEOs graduated from? I can't. Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, Mike Pompeo, John McCain, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (had to look her up to get her name right, LOL!), Beto O'Rourke, Harvey Weinstein, Rupert Murdoch, Tim Cook (CEO of Apple; aka Tim Apple), Michael Avenatti, George Clooney, Stephen Colbert, George Lucas, Oprah Winfrey, Rex Tillerson, etc. (Yes, some of these names are infamous.) I have no idea where these doofs went to school.
Of course, there are many others whose educational background I CAN name. But I wonder if it really mattered to them. Yes, there will be the stories here and there of someone who'll say, "Gosh, darn, without that Stanford degree, I wouldn't have met Joe and if I hadn't met Joe, we would never have founded our enormously successful start-up." Yeah, there will always be those. I'm talking statistically speaking, as in the bulk of the population.
I think the Warren Buffets (Nebraska, btw) and the Waltons (of the wealthy family who founded Wal-Mart) of the world would be successful because of talent, drive, their choices in life, and of course, luck -- not because of where they went to school. Who knows?

When I was an editor for the MIT student newspaper, we had a policy of always referring to alumni by the year they graduated, as in "George P. Shultz PhD '49". It was kind or surprising who turned out to have been MIT alumni. Like "the Car Talk guys" Tom and Ray Magliozzi or UN Secretary General Kofi Annan.

I may be biased. When I look somebody up on Google and I click on their wikipedia profile, I hardly ever look at where they went to school. To me, it's not important. I mostly scroll down and scan for section headings titled "Controversies." LOL!

Why do people only have to pay back the amount they received from their crime? They should have to pay that back, and they should have to pay the 39.6% in federal income that they did not pay on the money in the first plus fines, plus interest etc. This seems like BS.

He may have already paid income tax on it. Depends on how he laundered the money. Anyway, the article already explained that he's getting off light because he's pleading guilty and co-operating with the prosecution.

If you made $1,000,000 from robbing a bank you should have to give back MORE than that amount. He does not seem that connected to give that much evidence. They already have Singer what would they need from this peripheral player? And for crying out loud they certainly do not need to give Singer a deal considering all financial transactions are tracked in the US. They just need court orders and accountants.
