They need enough points to qualify for the country quota playoff? They were originally on the entry list according to the first post, and are no longer on the entry list.

Reid and Theo had to drop from CQ for Doha last time because they didn’t have enough points. Maybe I should rephrase it as they don’t have as many points as the teams ahead of them.

Reid and Theo have 1380 points, the last team not on a wild card in the Q has 1550 points, even if Theo and Reid won the CQ, they don't have enough points to be in the Q

Chances of getting to Tokyo are getting slimmer as we type. He’s gonna have to go to 2 stars to get those points.

Because there is nothing but 4 stars coming up. A crummy system for teams trying to break in. Theo/Reid arent that good by FIVB standards but a young team as good as the 15th ranked FIVB team and with great potential would also be kept out, if such a team existed. Tri and Trevor may not have realized how clutch their two big performances last year were. If they had posted a result like Doha, and finished 4th in that 3 star, they might be out of the mix as well

FIVB has waay waay too much Control. Power and Money no? Olympic Gold?

As far as I can tell the sole purpose of such a long qualifying process is to empower the FIVB

As far as I can tell the sole purpose of such a long qualifying process is to empower the FIVB I like the long qualifying process myself, but I also think if you want to play on the FIVB you shouldn’t be disallowed playing on CQ’s because you don’t have enough points. It’s a flawed system but that’s the nature of sports I guess.
