I don't know. For a sport that is constantly desperate for credibility, the snow version just seems embarrassing. Don't begrudge these folks for a free trip to the alps, but I wish the FIVB were using these resources elsewhere.

Agreed! I'm sure hanging out at a ski resort playing a quirky version of volleyball is amazing. But let's build up the beach instead!

IMHO it would be better to just use regular doubles beach rules, and if you happen to be in a locale of snow, well, you play in it. Some former players from Denmark and Sweden were used to training in the snow for regular beach play.
