I think I might be more excited for VNL 2021! Who are some new additions you are looking forward to watching play? I would say Rettke and Thompson but they're in the team already so I guess Butler, Stivrins, Pressley, Mohler and J. Gray. I find the lack of great OH prospects concerning. Yeah. I would agree. Many of those players would be great additions to the USWNT. Next quad we are looking at the probable retirement of MBH, Hill and Larson so that definitely opens the doors for Foecke, Plummer, Jones-Perry and honestly Thompson at OH. Many don't like that idea but if she can pass it would be a huge boon to have her arm AND Drews/Lowe/Cuttino on the court at the same time. Lots of great arms in the gym. We just need to find the right combo and position for all of them. I could also see Megan Courtney returning to OH with JWO and Lake being the libero combo which is what I think is developing. I also expect to see Kingdon-Rishel, Wilhite-Parsons and Simone Lee still in the gym though I don't think they will make a top roster until their passing stabilizes. OH will definitely be needing some development going towards 2024 but I feel confident it will work itself out.

I'm going to create a separate thread for 2021 so this thread doesn't get too off topic

After this quad, I hope she's put there to add some power to the left wing. Robinson will be team captain and seeing how she's getting better and better now, I hope it's only uphill for her. Drews/Cuttino/Lowe will be a great pool for OPP for next quad. I'd also put Plummer at OPP and maybe even develop her as a Haak-type of Opposite.

Taylor Agost, Oregon, is playing for Aris in Greece. She has wisely made the decision to switch to OH which she did play a limited amount her senior year at Oregon. A late bloomer she has good athletcism and is following the Bartch model of making your own future. If she can learn to be an effective reciever she has the attacking skills, former OP, to have a successful European career. Just another Portland girl trying to follow in Kim Hill's steps.
Todays match: Taylor Agost 20 points (attack, 20/55, reception: 47% se - 17% excellent)

Is Wilhite primary role in international volleyball/our national team to pass? Just curious because it hasn’t seem like a maintain stay in her teams line up in Brazil. A player like McClendon has not been in the NT gym, but is playing a bigger role and on a better team than Wilhite.

Finland’s Liigaploki team has done well this year. With Maddie Palmer, Alexis Conaway, Taylor Lindberg, and Elizabeth Fields, Liigaploki won the Finnish Cup in January. Lindberg was named Setter of the Month for the Finnish women’s league for both October and November of 2019. At the end of February, 2020, with two matches left in regular season play, Liigaploki fired the coach—Alessandro Lodi. The team continued on to win the two remaining matches with a new head coach. Although very knowledgeable with technical skills in volleyball, Lodi lacks nonabusive people skills and should never be a head coach again. Here’s hoping Liigaploki finishes strong in post-season play.

She will definitely be more challenged there. Good move! I hope she ends up having a good year leading up to 2021 postponed olympics. I feel like she had a really good chance of going to Tokyo this summer. She had momentum from last season.

Hope they mature in this 1 year period and elevate all their games for the benefit of the team's campaign.

Does anyone know where Carlini will be playing professionally next season? I have another thread talking about rumors/news for next season's transfer. There's rumor that Carlini will play in THY (Turkish Airline club) next season, which was discussed in that thread.
