One of the worst possible career moves for Lee. You mean for NT development? Other than that, it's a great move for her career. More money and a better environment. Not necessarily bad for NT development. It depends on how the club uses her. To simply write off someone based on which league she is playing is grossly simplistic, I think.

Her situation this past season in Turkey was an excellent choice in that 1) she got to receive in all six rotations, 2) didn't have to worry about getting benched, and 3) played against great competition. The Korean/Japanese leagues are weak and do not provide opportunities for their big-arm American athletes to receive. If she wants to be an opposite for the rest of her career or forego opportunities to play for Team USA, this is a good move. If she likes playing on the left and wants to be an Olympian, she should question who is advising her. $200,000 is nice, I guess, but there are certainly some drawbacks.

[bar] Maybe Japan will help her improve her reception and overall defense.

Not all big bangers are hidden in the reception. Neriman gets to receive and they only hide her if she starts faltering. This could be the same case for Lee. This Japan stint could make or break her career.
Tbh, I never really see her potential as NT prospect during college unlike Hancock.
