Oh happy birthday by the way! guest2 Thats so thoughtful, I almost dont want to mention its not my actual birthday, just what I put in to register. Sorry your guys had another bad week Oh... 😂 Indeed. 18 match streak in Austin broken today. 🥴 I can only hope they do well in Jinjiang. Or it’ll be exactly like last year where they started off strong and then it started going downhill.

Chaimbeer just couldn’t get Jake/Taylor out of system. Jeremy wasn’t on from the service line and they just never got Crabb and Gibb uncomfortable. Didn’t get any breaks and just couldn’t get a good rhythm. Still a great showing for them and wouldn’t be surprised to see them get a win this year.

At the end crab gets 2 serves and didn’t side out one time and almost didn’t side out the next and they go right back to Jake 🤷♂️😔

Tough break for Jeremy. Hopefully its not 3 more years before we see him in a final again.

I don't want to hear any nonsense about Dalcena, they were beaten, didn't lose it, these two teams are clearly as equal as it gets right now. Taylor the difference by tiny margin. Maybe if Phil had Beranek or Del Sol instead? My thought is Phil and Nick were out coached. They are lacking the adjustments to be made playing Jake and Taylor. Richie has Jake and Taylor with a great game plan against Phil.

Taylor and Jake just don’t make mistakes. It was incredible watching. Taylor never seems to be incredible. Great game plan by them. They give a certain thing to you then take it away. Taylor by far best defender we have ha far down and Gibb has found the Hyden fountain of youth

I said it in Phil’s match serve crabb!! Jake is siding out way to good I saw you said that but... that's not the match I saw. Jake was hitting 200 points below Taylor. The only bad spell (getting blocked, not hitting out) Taylor had all day was in the freeze, and Phil had something to do with that. For most of the semis and finals Taylor sided out far better than Jake. At one point the stats went up on the screen and it was something like 70% for Phil, 60% for Taylor, 50% for Jake and like 40% for Nick. It's too late now but I think Phil and Taylor could have finaled in the Olympics. After watching the 20 and 23 year old Norwegians in Itapema this weekend, they looked effortless and unstoppable. Mol is already the best player in the men's game at 20... great serve, solid receive, great setter, agile in transition, huge hitting %, and the best blocker, by far, in the game. Like Phil in 2008. Does the US have anything even remotely like Mol hiding somewhere in deep Apalachia? And why are our elite bigs all over 35?

If that team is not on top of the Olympic podium next year, the world will be shocked. 2nd answer...No idea

Does the US have anything even remotely like Mol hiding somewhere in deep Apalachia? And why are our elite bigs all over 35? No. If you were to rank the countries in bigs under 30, USA would probably not even be in the top 5. Maybe not even top 7. What's worse, if you rank the top 3 USA blockers under 30, Bourne is #1, his teammate Trevor is #2, and #3? Who knows.

All the other blockers playing internationally at this point are all 30+: Phil, Jake, Doherty, Brunner, Chase, and Bill Kolinske.
