Can I just say the 7-11s in Japan are nothing like the 7-11s we have in the states. You can get a decent meal for a good price. We had a little picnic with the goodies we bought there. Don’t they have vending machines for everything now? LOL

Well, some things are similar, except with Japanese tastes. But frozen pizza is about the absolute last food thing I would ever think about buying in a japanese 7-11 (I don't ever recall seeing a frozen pizza in one and I've been just about everywhere in Japan.)

Yes. I got frozen pizzas handy at the local 7-eleven, but pizza delivery is another problem. Can be quite far to get non-frozen pizza in Japan. And like I said, pizza delivery in Japan is not like the US, the coverage is patchy at best and not everywhere can you get pizza delivery. I don't always stay in big cities like Tokyo, Osaka or Nagoya, where fresh pizza is easy to get with chains like Domino or Pizza Hut. Look, I don't mean to be blunt, but maybe next time stick to stuff that you know? Like engines and planes? So why won't you just name a city? Let us check the web and see that it has a 7-11 but no pizza places? Why don't you name every single place with both non-frozen and frozen pizza avaiable?

The prepared food and hot food selection is way better. We bought some rice balls, bento, ham sandwiches, and fried chicken. Washed it down with lychee and had dark chocolate kit kat and frozen fruit balls for dessert. In the evening our host would cook for us or take us out on the company’s dime, but we were on our own for lunch. Between 7-11, the street food, Lawson and family mart we managed to stay well fed and within budget. Our guide was impressed with our adventurous tastes.

I went back in this thread to determine how this mini-feud between ironhammer and mikegarrison got started. It started on p. 3 when mike made a passing comment in the form of a double-negative sentence. I personally let that go as I have no interest in or experience in frozen or baked pizzas around the globe. And iron then makes a snide comment. I would’ve let that go as this happens a lot on VT and it’s all humor-driven. But mike has never been one for diplomacy and so he challenges an otherwise humor-intended remark (as I see it) and makes it personal. Iron then escalates. In conclusion, both need to take a seminar on anger management and diplomacy and how to reduce stress while engaging with others on online forums. That assumes I don't actually like arguing things on online forums, which would be a false assumption. Besides that it was a snide comment (which I can and have let go many times), it was just strange that his claim was so easy to prove with a specific example, and yet he wouldn't name one. So you admit you like to argue then. As for frozen pizza being easier to get than regular pizza. It is common sense. Only someone who has never been anywhere will claim otherwise and insist on a specific example. That just seem to be someone wanting to argue for the sake of it, which make senses to me now.

Why can't you understand how logic works? I'm really surprised here. You think it's the same thing to give one (1) example that would prove your point versus listing an infinite number of of counter-examples? And logically, if I listed 10,000 counter-examples it still wouldn't matter, because you would only have to list one example to prove your point. But you STILL won't list that one example, which mystifies me.

But you STILL won't list that one example, which mystifies me. Logic works fine with me. You claimed an example but you had no proof to back that up. You then cite a bunch of places but that is hardly a representative sample size. I could cite an example. could say I stayed at Uiji City at the outskirts of Kyoto at midnight when I arrived and starving. But then you'll say I don't believe you. So what's the point? Like I said, Internet Disbelief Syndrome.

I already said that I would easily agree that late at night it can be easier to find a frozen pizza than an available restaurant. That said, Uji is the location of Kyoto University, and it's hardly true that it has no places to buy fresh-baked pizza. So no, it doesn't count as a counter-example to my experience.

You do realize I don't live near Kyoto University when I was visiting there? Uiji is more just the university. In fact, have you ever been there? How do you know? I suspect you don't. Uiji is in the outskirts of Kyoto, not Kyoto itself. It is NOT convenient to get pizza if you got already frozen pizza. In any case, you just confirmed what I said. You will never believe whatever examples I provide. SO you are just arguing for the sake of it. Your argument is weak, period. You have no provide a conclusive list of places where both frozen and un-frozen pizzas are available everywhere. Give it up. I can do this forever you know.

Because of this thread, I actually stopped in the frozen pizza section of my grocery store today and scanned the offerings. DiGiorno's, Tombstone, Red Baron...

Been to every place there is (or was) a men's or women's V league pro team, and many other places as well.
