WTF? If Micah showed up to VNL significantly heavier, there would be questions. This has nothing to do with her looks. She is “significantly” heavier? What were her before/after weights?

You all realize they're playing Bulgaria...? Who just got into VNL via Challenger Cup last year? The statements being made about players for 2020 are... Lol. The roster for Tokyo is mostly already set. Larson, Hill, M.B.H, Kelsey Lloyd, Lowe Foluke, Adams, Dixon. Courtney Pending only: Hancock or Carlini for backup......Backup OPP? 4th middle? People can dream that Lee,Poulter or any of their favorite college stars will make the roster....but beating B teams in VNL is one thing....now beating China, Serbia, Italy in Tokyo is a different thing.

Talking about athletes weight is normal. Is not a personal judgment. This happens with male athletes also. Look at Jokic from the Denver Nuggets. Everyone talks about his weight...but it is nothing personal...and it does not change the fact he's of the best players in the league. Last year Zoran Terzic said some of his players came back from their club season super out of shape. He was referring to Mihajlovic who gained a few pounds while playing in Japan. Talking about weight re. female athletes is not appropriate because there'll be some confusion about whether the comment is targeting performance or, subconsciously, physical beauty. If someone is doing their job, then the weight issue is not an issue. Talking about weight re. male athletes is okay because we all know the purpose of those comments is to deliver the cleverest sophomoric insults, e.g., Luc Longley, Will Perdue, Shaq, Charles Barkley. It's okay to insult male athletes because they don't give a rat's ass and it's sport.

Just wondering if Simone Lee is in Karch's Hooker house? I believe it's called a whorehouse... Interesting that many people are offended by comments about Poulters weight but only one person defended Lee when this comment was made.

Commenting on anyone's (men or women) weight is so taboo. If they were overweight, they wouldn't be literally on the US women's national team... Plus, Poulter is playing better than she did in college...so if she did gain weight, it clearly doesn't matter.

I didn't take that as even being about Lee. Probably just a bad joke about Karch's Hooker house rather than anything about Lee.

It's because most posters on VT are intelligent enough to deduce that my comment was simply a pun and not about Destiny, Simone, or even Karch, i.e. "hooker" = "whore". Therefore, "Hooker house" = "whorehouse". Unless a few readers want to be offended by the mere presence of the word "whore" in a post, in which case, they need to grow the f*ck up.

Yeah, but none of it was disrespectful to Lee. Unless you are really, really, really sensitive and want to stretch to try and make something out of it.

Rettke blocked the ball. Thompson was in the neighborhood. That was Thompson, not Rettke.
