Don’t disagree. And now Rens should work on some fan engagement initiatives. I was curious to see what their 2019 schedule is and nothing is posted. It’s July. Went to their social media. Nothing exciting to look forward to. No announcements on their incoming freshmen class. Nothing. Baby steps I guess? It would be great to see any announcements from the school on the incoming class and on the incoming coaches as well. Not sure the lack of info is on Rens as much as the sports info office? Sports information should be the people on it. You can't expect a head coach to do every aspect of the program. If I were all of these schools I'd give a student the social media reins and let them fly. Younger players watch team social media accounts fervently. It's a great recruiting tool. Unfortunately, there has been little to see on the Georgetown sites about volleyball. Hope it picks up soon. With added social media presence, a winning team, and the fact Georgetown is a superior academic school, recruiting would continue to dramatically improve for the Hoyas. And, then, the Big East might find Georgetown to be the team knocking off the Golden Eagle Hawk Warriors and the Bluejays. Historically, what held back Georgetown was a critical lack of resources, bordering on administrative negligence. With recent scholarship increases and what appears to be a loosening of the admissions process, some of that has been lessened. The new basketball building, which alleviates an embarrassing facility situation, helps a ton, too. Outside of that, the biggest thing they're fighting is a university administration which very much does not care about its athletic department.

Georgetown was better last year, but let's slow your roll here. They only moved from a 185 pablo ranking to a 182. This year will tell us more with his athletes coming in and hopefully they can move into the top 100.

And St. John's Pablo actually got WORSE from 2017 to 2018 (128 to 130) and yet people seem to think they'll challenge Creighton and Marquette. The reality is the teams in the #3-#6 range were MUCH worse than they had been the past couple seasons (Villanova, Xavier, Butler, Seton Hall). So instead of those teams being a tier above St. John's and Georgetown, they were all very even.

The BE as a conference were “10th best” per RPI in 2018 I believe, which seemed like a drop from 2017 (7th??). Marquette and Creighton continue to carry this conference. Butler had a key injury last year and setter loss which accounted for their big drop. Surprised at Novas big drop.

Injury to an EXTREMELY high-usage outside hitter (Anna Logan). I think she’s back this fall.

Big East should get better. But Georgetown shouldn't be expected to get to third this year. They lose a lot, 4 year starting libero and 4 year starting Middle who was all conference, 4 year starter outside hitter (I think 4 years but maybe not all the time), they didn't really have a strong right side presence last year. Im guessing it will be up to a lot of freshman.

Xavier will be pretty rough this year. I got to believe their will be a coaching change. Too much losing and to many transfers. There is plenty of talent to pull from regionally to compete in the Big East.
