Crazy how much funding has changed at Georgetown. Just a few years ago, the program wasn't allowed to host any tournaments and they were only allowed a certain amount of freshmen each year. However some of those teams headed to Georgetown's tournaments are not cupcakes. Which teams would you say are the toughest for Georgetown in that preseason schedule? And, yes, the Big East standings may start to look quite a bit different in the next couple of years with GU's new coaching staff and if the administration gives the team even more funding. I'd favor Central Arkansas and Stony Brook. Northern Kentucky, FIU, and Howard are threats as well.

There is clearly a completely different approach by the administration since the staff change. The funding and support is unrecognizable.

You all are really drinking the GT Kool-Aid. What makes it taste so good?

Stony Brook the powerhouse of the group (2018 final) at Pablo #115 Central Arkansas 147 Howard 218 Stony Brook 115 N Kentucky 127 FIU 145

You all are really drinking the GT Kool-Aid. What makes it taste so good? Agree - They lost both a 1st and 2nd Team All Big East player from last year's team. I'm not sure where this excitement is coming from. The additional scholarships will certainly help down the road, but I'm not seeing any improvement in 2019 versus 2018.

Heck, Cubs fans were confident every year despite the odds and one year they were right.

6'2'' Setter...not bad to have on the roster Bringing in quite a bit of height. Should be one of the taller rosters in Big East. Doesn’t always equate to good, but certainly helps.

Not going to be enough to get past ‘Nova and St Johns and into the Big East tourney. 6th a reasonable conclusion

Not going to be enough to get past ‘Nova and St Johns and into the Big East tourney. 6th a reasonable conclusion Could be the wild, wild west in the East this season. Who will be hungriest? You have to believe St J's, Villanova, Butler and even Georgetown are seeing a crack in the top. Selection Sunday may not be a given this year for Creighton and Marquette. And I pray that is so. Needs to be some table-turning in the conference and maybe three bids will be a possibility.

Marquette coming in at #16 in t he first AVCA poll. Creighton only two spots behind at #18. No other BigEast team receiving any votes for the top-25.

It's a long season. (But, always ends far too soon.)
