Koala detection dog? Wow! That's a really really specialized field. No wonder he was unemployed for a long time. And thank god he relocated to Australia. It's all about finding your niche. I like his protective footwear.

Why are you waiting until tomorrow? lol OR you could say something directly to them like, in an effort to start off on a better foot, I am coming directly to you because you might not be aware of the rule, but...etc. See if some sugar gets you anywhere. If not, have that email ready! Well, management office closed at 9pm and when they were still cutting at 930pm+ couldn't make the complaint. At any rate, already called it in and management said they will have a talk with the owner. I could have taken the high road and not reported them, but screw it. Its payback!

I would've done the same. That's just rude. Good luck.

And speaking of famous dogs, here is a trivia question for you all, how many Rough Collies played "Lassie"?

And speaking of famous dogs, here is a trivia question for you all, how many Rough Collies played "Lassie"? I am so glad I read this piece. Thanks for the question. www.closerweekly.com/posts/lassie-dog-155447/Meet the Family Enjoying a long life of 18 years (spanning from 1940 to 1958), Pal is the Rough Collie who played Lassie in seven feature films and two TV pilots. In between, he became a major draw for crowds at shows, fairs, and rodeos around America. Few dogs enjoyed a career with such longevity. When Pal died in June of 1958, he was privately buried on Rudd’s ranch, so don’t make plans to visit Lassie’s grave anytime soon. Keeping things in the family, Pal’s son Lassie Junior played the part until 1959, but then retired due to being afflicted with cancer. His son, Spook, briefly played the part, although he was never comfortable on the set. Rudd got him to power through, though, while his brother, Baby, was being trained to take over. And Baby did so, working the show for six years, but dying at the age of eight (all the other Lassies lived to be at least 17). Mire took over from 1966-71, with Hey Hey coming in for 1971-73.

So there was seriously never a female Lassie? 🙄 It was a very progressive Collie Family. Very comfortable with the name Lassie. Interesting for the '50's.

And while we are on the subject of Collies, here's an interesting little tidbit, the Shetland Sheepdog is not simply a mini Rough Collie, but in fact they are two different breeds. Both breeds do share an ancestor which later became the Collies we know today. There were some Rough Collie genes introduced to the breed, but the Shetland Sheepdog was not directly bred from the Rough Collie for the most part. Not sure many people know that since both breeds look so much alike.

Sleepless early morning hours led to reading the collie Wikipedia page. I did not realize that Texas A&M’s mascot is a Rough Collie named Reveille. Reveille I was a rescue mutt, Reveille II was a Sheltie, and every Reveille since has been a Rough Collie. Current reigning is Reveille IX. All have been females.
My uncle had a collie. Calmest coolest gentlest dog I’ve ever met, yet he also had the nerve to taunt bison!

Imma buy some chicken gizzards today for my dog. I basically cook them all in a skillet with carrots, cabbage, celery, and maybe some rice. Give him some as a snack every day. Lasts for a week.
