Short videos, but no sign of Adams, Cuttino, Alhassan, Hancock, Foecke, Kingdon, Wilhite, or Rivers. Those appear to be the players cut from the roster. Interesting that JWO is more than likely on the roster, especially knowing she is playing overseas for the first time this year. Hope somebody steps up at Libero before next July - maybe it will be her!

I actually liked JWO in the Pan Ams. Lets give her another chance against better competition Let's not forget that the new Mikasa ball will be making it's debut at this tournament so in "theory" everyone will be adjusting to the new ball. They used the Molten ball during the pan-am's which she knows how to pass. JWO started most matches during the 2017 WGP and she and Courtney were both on the Grand Champions Cup roster where the USA placed 3rd. I think they both have played about the same amount of international matches at Libero. It should be interesting to see if JWO can take that spot from Courtney. I'm looking forward to seeing if other countries bring their A-Teams. If the European ones (Serbia, Russia, Netherlands) don't this could be a very easy and boring tournament with China, Brazil and the USA cruising to the top. Someone posted on the Men's thread that both genders are being paid equally and the winning team get's 600,000 to split just among the players. The federations get paid significantly less......WHICH IS AWESOME! Top three teams get paid. That might motivate other big players to make the trip?

Actually this Marquette libero is turning heads... what do y’all think about her? I'd bet the house that Tori Dixon will be there even if Foluke is back and ready. I feel like only one of Chiaka/Washington is gonna make the cut. Who is this Marquette Libero you speak of?

China currently has 16 players training for the World Cup, one wing spiker and one middle blocker should be cut. S: Ding Xia, Yao Di OPP: Gong Xiangyu, Zeng Chunlei OH: Zhu Ting, Zhang Changning, Liu Xiaotong, Li Yingying, Liu Yanhan MB: Yan Ni, Yuan Xinyue, Wang Yuanyuan, Zheng Yixin, Yang Hanyu L: Wang Mengjie, Lin Li The team dynamics for Netherlands right now is a bit uneasy after underperforming at the European Championship and problems with Morrison's decisions. Vladislav Fadeev the GM of the Russian Volleyball Federation said in an interview after their loss to Italy that the same players will go to the World Cup, with Fetisova replacing one of the middles. S: Startseva, Romanova OPP: Goncharova, Khaletskaia OH: Voronkova, Parubets, Lazareva, Kurilo MB: Koroleva, Fetisova, Lazarenko, Efimova L: Galkina, Chikrizova First Place: $600,000 for the athletes; $30,000 for the federation Second Place: $300,000 for the athletes; $15,000 for the federation Third Place: $100,000 for the athletes; $10,000 for the federation If I'm not mistaken in the last edition the winners won $250,000.

Serbia is without Boskovic/Mihajlovic/Terzic. (Ognjenovic on the list but I don't expect her to go to Japan)
