Hancock...? She's been left off every single A team roster since May. Is anyone even paying attention anymore? And Lloyd even left! Exactly! I think Karch should pick Hancock and Carlini for Tokyo.

I really wish Adams would get it the F together. Girl could put the ball away off of two feet. I'm not sure what her deal is. She looked good in the few matches I saw her play this past season in Italy .. Be careful, someone might be listening and tell K. #doghouseforu

I wish that Karch would double down on the OH becomes libero plan.
By training Larson, as well as Robinson, at libero.
Then rotating those two at libero and OH to save arms/legs over the tough 2 week Olympic schedule.
Bring a traditional libero (Lake/Benson/JWO) to wear 2nd libero jersey, just in case, or if they want both Larson and Robo as OH for certain matches.
Also bringing MBH and Foecke to be the "other" OH.
You can call me crazy now.

We can't train one libero as it is. Just pick one.

Akinradewo (Dixon if she’s not able) Ogbogu Washington (actually her and Dixon are even, IMO) Larson MBH Hill Robinson Drews Thompson Carlini Poulter or Hancock Foecke or Lake/Benson/JWO

Probably two setters, three middles, a libero, and six hitters. But maybe one serving/defensive specialist instead of a hitter.

However, if you look at it as 8 matches in 16 days, it may be tougher than most events in volume of swings/jumps over that period of time (with few/no easy matches). You are right about just picking a libero, probably just me wondering if Larson will stick around as 'bro in 2024...

Wow...my choices were a bit off! I had Lloyd as starting setter.
If I had to pick today, it would be:
Akinradewo Ogbogu Dixon Larson MBH Hill Foecke Robinson (as Libero) Drews Thompson Carlini Poulter

The spectacle of being in the Olympic Village and the distractions that that causes, especially for first time Olympians, is a bigger concern than the playing schedule. My pick is Robinson for libero. Even though Larson is showing some age, I think she is still much better than Robinson, for an entire match, in just about every aspect, but especially out of system.

Good point about distractions. And I agree in general about Larson over Robinson. Just worried about "granny" endurance over that many matches in a short time. I think Krob has her there. But Larson puts up absolute nectar sets after waving Courtney off on setter digs. It seems like almost every one is killed...her sets make everyone else better out of system.

She also gets to hand set without restriction. You train a libero to forearm set to create consistency and to not have to worry about hand setting in front of the 3m line.

If Michelle Bartsch-Hackley doesn't make it, it will be a travesty. I like Hancock and Poulter. Why does it matter to you since the US aren’t medaling in Tokyo anyway. 🙄 Exactly, they're not. But at least they'll score a couple more points, instead of getting stomped on!

I know I'm very late to the game...but what happened to Gibby and Lloyd? And reason why they're no longer with Team USA? Tried sifting through some of these massive threads but didnt have any luck.
