They should probably just redshirt Rowland (if they haven't already) at this point...

I am pretty sure she is officially red-shirting this season.

At least with redshirting, you all should be better in years to come. Solid pins for at least one more year and a young libero.

Evans was out all weekend in a boot. Pack fought hard against BC and Syracuse but I had 'Cuse down as win at the beginning of the year. I know 'Cuse has some big arms but Pack is missing 2 OHs and our best all around player in Evans... ugh! This is looking like a lost year. I feel like this team can compete in the upper half of the conference if healthy. Took Louisville/UNC/BC to 5. Injuries and young setter(s) make it tough.

Anyone else notice the downward trajectory of the program over the last three years?

They finished last year really strong and this year injuries have been the story. Bringing in Pickrell when coach Hampton came over was key and now Rowland is a really good get (if she gets healthy). I think Pitt has set a great example that an ACC team can build and sustain a winning program even in an area that is not considered a volleyball hot bed. It's all about recruiting.

North Carolina's club scene has exploded faster than any area of the country as of late. But, you have UNC, NCSU, Duke, and Wake all trying to go after recruits and a lot of SEC schools also recruit heavily in NC and the SEC uses their volleyball success as ways of swaying recruits to them.

Well after a very nice win on Friday against Clemson. Then the Pack fell apart late on Sunday. Friday NC State came out with a new look line up. No Parchment. RS-F Savannah Bryant hitting left and playing all the way around. They mixed up some spots letting Terry hit left for a rotation the back in the middle for 2 rotations. They brought Parchment off the bench in the 3rd and it gave them the spark they needed. Evans is back but only playing front row due to an injury.
They had Sunday's match in the bag against GT. Parchment got the message from Friday's benching and lit it up. Terry and Kemp got ton of touches at the net and the Pack out blocked and hit GT. But up 21-13 in the 4th then lose 25-23 (10-0 run to finish). Up 9-6 in the 5th and lose 15-11. They have had a few of these games this year. The matches against ECU, UNC and Louisville come to mind.
They finish 5 out of 6 on the road and their only home game is against Pitt. Last year they finished very strong but it was the opposite schedule 5 out of 6 at home.

Parchment was out the first 2 sets of the Clemson game for a pregame warm up injury before she could return to play the 3rd set.

Looks like Jessica Kemp was honored at senior day. Wonder if she will use her remaining year elsewhere? Kuchmanner did the same thing last year and went to UCF.

She is from South Carolina.... maybe USC???
