Kentucky is athletic, big and slow.
Florida could be the top team if they have any speed. Florida certainly has the most obnoxious fans and followers.

Yes last year Kentucky had Brooke Morgan who was big and slow. This year she us gone and replaced with a much quicker Meyer. But Florida still has Kramer, who I wouldn't call quick. And Carlton, again not the quickest.

I don’t see how anyone could look at Florida’s roster and think “wow they’re gonna be good!” They have too many pin hitters and not enough ball control or setting. I don’t see them as a top 10 team even though I’d love to see them be good. Mary Wise needs to work a little harder to find a top tier setter in the upcoming classes. Maybe the really elite recruits look for schools with better setting coaches (Sorry Shannon Wells).

Florida has a lot of talent but that talent is very young. I wonder why Mary did not invest in her youth like other teams. But with that said Florida is a very talented team and will crack the top 10. I called it!

Because of the crazy unbalanced schedule the SEC uses, Tennessee has an easier path than usual to the title... if they can take advantage of it and not stumble. Of the top eight teams in the league last year, Tennessee only has to play two of them twice: Missouri and Alabama. The other five they only meet once: Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina, Texas A&M, and LSU -- and three of those (UK, TAMU, LSU) are at home.

Florida does have great attacking talent and depth at each position, but setting could be achilles heel. I think the team Florida is most similar to is Texas. If setting is above average they are final 4 material, if setting is inconsistent each match they are a great sweet 16 / elite 8 depending on the match ups in tourney.
