Oh honey I don’t care if he is right or wrong....I just love to tease trash posters like Tango because their posts are garbage concerning many members of this team. I am thankful for this infusion of youth ESPECIALLY today. If we still had the predominantly old vets crew we likely would have lost today in 4 and had to qualify through NORCECA Continental Qualification. Not having Chiaka hurt us today but we got through it. Carlini does need to adjust her connections with the middles but it is COMPLETELY unlikely to be able to run a middle dominant offense ALL OF THE TIME. Those of you who beat this topic to death are pretty lame. Get on the excitement train.....all the cool folks are doing it. You're not cool.

volleyguy, back up and read the posts. I don't even think we're talking about the same thing anymore.

Poulter has the best connection with the middles out of any of our setters in the gym. There....I said it.

Those of you who beat this topic to death are pretty lame. Get on the excitement train.....all the cool folks are doing it. I never said she should be setting the middles all the time. You will never see Serbia, Russia or Netherlands using the middles a lot because they do have poor reception. But teams like Brazil, Italy and USA always have GREAT reception and they do use the middles A LOT.....it has been like this forever. It is just very unusual to watch a American setter ignoring the middles throughout a whole match when the passing is nearly perfect, because this is something that has never happened before. ( But even the Russian, Serbian, Dutch and any other setter would set the middles when the pass is perfect especially against a weaker team). I guess this is how Team USA wants to play now right?.... Karch is telling Carlini to set the pins and ignore the middles, let`s not forget that`s what her coach in Scandicci and Novara told her to do right??? Ignore everyone and set only Egonu and Haak. Team USA is taking a new direction with this new style. All I`m saying is this....if Team USA played tonight with Ognjenovic, Woloz, Tomkom, Dijikema, Cansu, Kitpova, Ding Xia, Macris....USA would win easily in 3.

And just like that, everything went down the toilet. What you had to say makes sense. Up until that last paragraph when you let your ridiculous opinion get in the way of making a valid point. Nice try though.

Four observations: 1. KR needs to be on the court. I’d prefer as our libero, but whatever. 2. Bulgaria didn’t have a lot of stuff blocks, but they did a GREAT job getting touches/ slowing the ball down. 3.Was the camera man in charge of time outs from Bulgaria? The camera was in their huddle 90% of the time. 4. Don’t you think Idina Menzel is Tori Dixon’s doppleganger?

You just have wonder if Chiaka were on the floor tonight....this wouldn’t have gone to 5. Am I right!? No. Next question?

I don't love Karch's strategy in this tournament of rotating outsides. It's three matches. Not exhausting. Play your best lineup. Truly the most important post in the thread, and it's only 8 posts into the thread. Really? OK, I'll ask my question again? What is there best lineup? Sorry, but you can only use the players on the roster.

Sorry, but you can only use the players on the roster. Who the starters are doesn't matter. Robinson and Bartsch were great against Kazakhstan (who is terrible), then switched both outsides for Bulgaria. It was clearly a pre-determined rotation of players. Great strategy for a 13s club tournament. I just don't understand it in a do-or-die qualifier.
