Can anyone access this game? Link via CBC.ca in Canada is not working. Very frustrating! Looking for scores/updates if someone is watching. Thanks!

It seems as though the link has completely disappeared now. CBC is extremely disappointing when it comes to showing sporting events that are out of country. They show the most random sports that no one cares to watch and none of the pan am games has been televised in any way so far. When sportsnet had Canadian volleyball television rights, they showed every game from every event other than pan am cup. CBC doesn’t know how to show events properly for Canadian sports fans (other than hockey).

Missing Autumn Bailey now. Yes, but totally irrelevant. She would not have been on this roster. This is not the "A" team.

I posted on the wrong thread - its a little late here.
Well the loss hurt. Especially after they had brought up their level of play and won sets 3 and 4. Bright spots: I thought Seliger-Swenson had a good outing as well as Wilhite-Parsons (homer analysis). S-S connected well with the hitters and covered on floor defense well. The passing improved when W-P was subbed in and she was effective on offense. I especially like her back row attacks. Rivers was certainly an inspriration. While she may be lacking in hieght those shoulders more than made up for it. Rivers is buff. Alhassan, I thought, also had a good all around night with some nice kills and blocks.
I don't understand why the coaches did not use their subs situationally more often. For example, Cutino's serve wasn't good today and her backrow play wasn't all that great so why not use a serving sub for her a couple of times. I know its not possible on every rotation but to never do it seams a waste.

Just checked the stats for last nights match: Peru had 40 kills to Canada’s 37, Canada outblocked Peru 17-4, but Peru had 16 aces!!! to Canada’s 4 😬 On paper I thought Canada’s B team would’ve been a better passing team than Canada’s A team, but the A team wouldn’t have been aced much at all by this Peruvian team. At least the blocking seemed to be solid.

Thirty seven team errors in four sets is the stat that caught my eye. That wont win against anybody. Thinking there were some first game jitters in front of a big local crowd.

Just watched some of the replay on YouTube - chase had some serious issues in serve receive and was aced at least 4 times in the 2 sets I watched - aggressive flat serve and they could do nothing with. Van Buskirk was a blocking machine which was very cool and White runs a fancy little step when running right side which was fun to watch. Overall our team is small on the outsides and was struggling with serve receive - my 2 cents.

Definitely, yeah I think this young team can improve over the week. Maybe if this game was later on in the prelims they would’ve cleaned it up a bit, and possibly had a better result 🤷🏻♂️

I did not think this team was going to struggle a whole lot on serve receive, especially seeing as Beamish and Chase are the next best passing outsides after Bailey.
