... except ... I still listen to music on the radio. A lot. But it's relatively rare that I watch a music video.

I listen to NPR and the local classical station. I'm not in my car often and long enough to listen extensively.
The only time I listen to the radio extensively is when we're driving out to visit either my family, my in-laws, or my kids. Christmas time is great because all the radio stations play non-stop Christmas songs, which I love.

well, that song was written in 1978 or 79. music videos may not be as prevalent as they were in the 80s (though people still watch them on youtube and the like).
but musicians today are still judged on their visual presentation as much (or more so) than for their music itself.
