Plummer played on the C team and wasn’t all that good. What you don’t realize is she was asked to play on the top team but due to school constraints wasn’t able to. Stanford gets out after the A team started playing together. Also note, when you get trap set nearly every time, the other team is blatantly aware of where the ball is going, don’t have a consistent lineup, and being put in a number of different positions things tend to not work well. Time will tell the full story.

Well quite a few on this board think it starts and ends with Plummer as the best player currently in the NCAA. I happen to think Plummer does have equals or those that are better then her. I think Thompson is better than Plummer. If she was in the PAC, or B1G then I think there would be little doubt for JT. I also think Rettke is as good as Plummer. Last year I think Foecke proved to be Plummer's equal.

Time will tell the full story. We get it, you hate SSS. Was SSS also responsible for Plummer’s poor serving, passing, and defense? And you’re right - those other factors did make it tough for Plummer. That’s why she was mostly on the bench. The others around her made enough necessary adjustments to win the starting role. I do think Plummer has a good future and will develop into a solid national team player. I just bet if you asked Plummer herself, she’d take a *little* more ownership of her performance than you’re suggesting she should. At least I’d hope.

Well this just shows you didn’t watch seeing as she played all of two sets with SSS setting. I actually don’t have anything against her. Maybe her right back will when they realize she’s a blocking liability

I know it’s hard to come in as a serving sub for a middle but it stands out in my memory that she struggled with those nearly every time she was used in that role. Again, I don’t think this was indicative of her ability or her future in any way. It was just a crappy performance, full stop.

I like both players but it appears Plummer has regressed a bit and Thompson quite frankly has progressed, at least as far as international play goes. Both will still dominate the NCAA.

And she’s barley a sophomore 😳 Can’t wheat to see how she does the next few seasons. She can be lager than life when she graduates. Definitely will cross my fingers and hops for the best.

To be fair, she performed a lot better than plummer did when it came to the national team (I know different setting was involved and passing, as the teams plummer were on did not do well in those aspects at all), but IMO if jordan thompson was in the pac or the b1g she would easily be in the running for NPOY. For the record, I still think rettke is by far the best player in collegiate volleyball right now. Doesn’t the evidence show that Dannah Rettkah isn’t yet able to block against international competition? She will, surely, one day. Rettke is still probably moving too slow to be a great middle blocker. Maybe she'll develop, but really tall girls usually do not possess the natural lateral speed which is needed to close and penetrate. With that said, someone of Rettke's height should still put up pretty good numbers because of their arm length, which makes them good static blockers and very competent OOS pin blockers.

Prove it! I guarantee you can’t because that never happened you idiot. I commented on Lilley stating the hitters numbers go down when she’s setting, which is factual.

Mmm not sure if that is arguable. Everything is "arguable". We prove that a lot around here. I love it when I'm so quickly demonstrated to be correct.

Ohhh wait you’re right I am an idiot! What I stated happened, but it wasn’t with you. I mixed you up with someone else!! My bad!

Plummer played on the C team and wasn’t all that good. Lol did you see the setting? The setter is also a C player, on the international scene. I support our young women and hope for their success. But as of today, facfs are facts America.
