Soboleski looked pretty bad that last set. I think Fish should stick with akeo in the 5-1.

She's definitely a height disadvantage, that's the problem.

Fish has a program to call his own! Great situation for him! Why leave if offered!? Only Geography, wife, or to Do same thing in a bigger conference that pays better wage!

Right now he's the #4 team in the country. Everything else is nearly a downgrade. Heather Lyles is committed to building Pitt athletics and I think would have a counter should he has other opportunities.
He does need to push for facilities improvements.

an offer to Big12, big 10, or pac and he may go! Salary's Big Ten - $240,379; Pac-12 - $165,357; ACC - $116,670; SEC - $156,071; Big 12 - $240,561. Highest paid ACC as of 2017-2018; 125,000; In sherry Dunbar's last year at IU 161,171 approximately. Doubt Pitt is ready to Pony up! And facilities need work! He would have to want to stay! Family, loyalty, etc....
Many other places traditionally better for his resume soon!!

Why do you want him out?

How do you know his salary?...
Plus Lyles has expressed a commitment to athletics. I think they would pony up.
I also doubt he's at 125k. Plus compensation is not that simple.

Should be easy, but I doubt Fisher will take it easy after a shaky 3rd set on wednesday. I'll be there getting loud even though the Fitz will be empty.

Agreed with basically all of this. As a Pitt fan, I've been incredibly impressed with Heather Lyke. She has seemingly ushered in a new era of Pitt Athletics in a very short time. Some truly fantastic hires (Capel as the gem here, Fisher, and I do believe Boissoneault and the Women's Lacrosse program will turn a lot of heads), commitment to facility upgrades and building, the redesigns of the logo and branding, etc. As Pitt re-emerges as a national power in athletics, I'm excited to have Lyke running things, as well as Fisher heading up the VB team for years to come

Some notes on the VT game today. - Minimal playing time for Markovic and Williams. Williams was awful in serve/receive in set 2 and got dropped for Faki.
- Browske's redshirt was burned to sub for Ndee on the back row (instead of Marcovic). Unsure what the reasoning for that was, I assume Fisher wants her to get game time as the likely libero next year.
- Some time went to Perosa, Steibel, and Nwokolo as well. Mostly when we were up big in set 3.
- Serve receive in general looked really bad, big reason why we almost lost S2.
- Soboleski is still not meeting expectations. Fish tried to fit her in but it didn't go too well. Lot of balls behind hitters.
Didn't look too good, despite sweeping. We'll have to step it up against FSU next week. Long road stretch upcoming against much better teams than VT and Virginia, with our next game in PGH on October 18.

Seemed pretty full to me compared to where we're coming from. Better turnout than expected but the crowd was flat. Minimal cheering, everyone just sitting down the whole time. A lot of people were also there because they had some promo for local youth teams to come by or something.
