Imoco, Scandicci and Busto Arsizio are stacked this season. Those are my picks for top 3. I think Italy will be even stronger than Turkey this year in Champions League.

Jones-Perry, Hancock, Alhassan, A. Rolfzen, Cuttino and Foecke all saw some action this weekend. Joining their clubs in this league next week: Lowe, Hill, Courtney, Washington, Ogbogu and Poulter. Chieri and Firenze could surprise some of the top teams this year as they are loaded with young international talent. Though I think the league isn't as loaded with talent as it was last year it should still be an exciting season!

How did Jones Perry do?!? Started the first three sets. Didn't play the last set. Her team won 3-1. Scored 11pts (10 attacks and 1 block) Hitting efficiency 45% Serving was pretty bad. 7 serves with 4 errors and no aces. She was replaced by a serving sub a lot. Passing was 50% positive with 25% perfect on 20 receptions with 3 errors. This is all assuming I translated the stats sheet right. It's in Italian but pretty easy to navigate on the leagues website.

Anybody watch the Scandicci vs. Casalmaggiore match? Both of those teams are pretty stacked.
Scandicci's Roster:
Setter: O. Malinov, G. Carraro OH: E. Pietrini, L. Bosetti, B. Milenkovic, S. Bricio MB: J. Stevanovic, M. Lubian, A. Kakolewska, Adenizia D. S., B. Molinaro Opp: L. Sloetjes, M. Stysiak L: E. Merlo, P. Cardullo
That's some stash of international talent in bold not to mention several key players on the Italian national team.
They will always be able to shuffle their pack due to always having an Italian setter and libero to choose from. This means that they will never be able to start both middles and both outsides who are all internationals since they don't have a domestic opposite. Lubian and Pietrini will probably see lots of court time this season. That bodes well for the Italian national team.
