I would have thought Guangdong would put up more of a fight as they got Kosheleva. But apparently not.

I would have thought Guangdong would put up more of a fight as they got Kosheleva. But apparently not. Tianjin is not a good measuring stick as they will usually make other teams with the league look bad except for Beijing. Kosheleva played very well. I had not realized that she was as athletic as she is. Speaking of good and athletic, Lippman for Shanghai has really been impressive, especially from the back row. ...and That reminds me that Shanghai's setter is as good as any at setting to the back-row that I've seen.

True, that is a good point, although I wasn't specifically using Tianjin as the measuring stick so much as hoping Guangdong could put up more of a challenge to make things more interesting and less predictable. And in any case, in recent years, Tianjin has not been as dominant as they used to be, which is good for league development overall as that promotes a better balance and more opportunities for other teams to shoot for the championship. This year is different as they got Zhu Ting of course. But the trend has been other teams becoming contenders as well, instead of Tianjin winning the championship all the time. That makes the league more interesting to watch...unless you are a Tianjin fan.
