Minnesota retained its #7 ranking and Michigan is still receiving votes. This is a dangerous road trip for Minnesota; the Michigans appear to have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Hoping Miyabe plays this match. Really impressed this past week.

Not sure of Cori Crocker's status for this one. She left halfway through the Penn State match last week and did not play on Saturday. Kayla Bair would get the start if Crocker is unable to go.
Michigan needs a signature win in order to firm up their tournament hopes. This would be a great, if unlikely, place to start. Minnesota destroyed Blue last year in A2. We were without Welsh in that match and ran a sloppy 6-2 that the Gophers feasted on. This season's 3 middle hybrid features a much more balanced and difficult to defend attack. Good first contact is key, and that is where Michigan tends to get itself in trouble.
Hoping for a competitive match. If Minnesota has an off night, we have a chance.

I liked what I saw with Miyabe too. The Rubright as blocking sub was so-so last match but I hope they keep working on it until Miller is more fully recovered and blocking. Right now McMenimen is our setter. Seems to be working as Minnesota is leading in assists per set in the B1G.

Right now McMenimen is our setter. Seems to be working as Minnesota is leading in assists per set in the B1G. I liked what I saw from Miyabe, too. Even if Miller gets fully healthy I would like to see the same rotation. Miyabe gives them offense in the front row as well as a block. A side benefit is that Samedy, while losing her back row offense, can get a rest and maybe be fresher throughout the match.

The usage of "loose" in a couple of posts above must be a joke.

I actually visited the Crisler Center M Den last weekend in search of a pink shirt for tonight's match. All they had were pink foam fingers and hats. So I'll be the guy in the stands not wearing pink.

Crocker not dressed. Doesn’t look like Miller is a go.
Gophers in their light pink warmups. Michigan In gray warmups with pink outline.
I remain pinkless.
