Actually before Saint cast Travis did some very good history podcast called paper courts. So he does have some credibility there for sure. If you haven't listened to them they're quite compelling history I listened to their podcasts with AJ, OB and - I think - Hov? Was not impressed at all. Ill look up Paper Courts though and see if it may have been a false impression[/quot I'm such a junkie for anything Beach, if I hear the word sand I start palpitating LOL

Not sure BVB history is either guy's strong suit Actually before Saint cast Travis did some very good history podcast called paper courts. So he does have some credibility there for sure. If you haven't listened to them they're quite compelling history Yeah, Travis knows his BVB history pretty well for a guy who’s only been following the sport for a few years. I think he’s said he’s doing research for the sequel to We Were Kings. I’ve listened to some of the Paper Courts stuff but sometimes he’ll talk history on Sandcast as well. He’s told the story of the 1996 Olympic trials a couple times with pretty decent detail.

This was about the time Lambo turned in the beach balls for medical sales.
Smart move, he moved from Costa Mesa to LaJolla and became sales manager.
Now living in a Villa in Italy last I saw.

Now living in a Villa in Italy last I saw. My experience in two different industries is that the top sales guys make WAY more money than Sales Managers, or even VPs. And as the old saying goes, if you can sell, you sell, and if you lose your edge, or sometimes if you just become sick of the grind, you become a Sales Manager (and get good at putting ridiculously presumptive numbers into spread sheet cells)

Wasnt that largely due to a knee injury? Yep, with, IIRC correctly, some complications following the surgery that effectively ended his career by 2008. One of most interesting people I've been around in the sport (in a good way), and one of the most fun to watch...I remember him once bouncing a ball over the grandstand during a stadium court match at Hermosa. Good times.

Lambo''s best song was the Side Out Blues. He was also pretty much done with volleyball and just wanting to move on with his life along with the injury.

Eyal Zimet was an insanely good athlete. Split block at 6’2. Best setter I’ve played with (bump sets) which says a lot. So technically sound. I miss that guy.
