Larson was in complete take-over mode tonight. She is off to the finals in the CVL with Shanghai!
Rabadzhieva and Kosheleva who? Larson showed everyone why she’s worth her cheque.
Shaghai’s setter was not so good though.

Things to look for in the new year or how Karch wins a gold medal in Tokyo.
Katherine Plummer playing for Monza. Monza quickly learns that Plummer is a worse receiver than Sylla, Bujis, or Lee and they can’t keep her on the floor and win. They move her to OP and discover that indeed she is a better more consistent attacker than Ortolani, or Stysiak, and a near equal to Brakocevic. She moves into the regular rotation. Monza moves up past Busto, Novara, and Scandicci to take second place behind Conegliano. Conegliano sweeps all the trophies but Plummer gets the Rookie-of-the-Year award. Karch calls her into the gym and runs her through the early VNL’s at OP. Does she get the call to Tokyo? And who will she replace?
Jordan Thompson gets her feet thrown into the fire immediately starting for the injured Vargas. Playing with the #2 setter in the world, Naz, she equals Vargas’ attack rates and scoring. Meanwhile she is required to do some receiving to protect Mihajlovic and Terzic quickly learns that she is actually much better at passing then Mihajlovic and he turns her into a receiving OP. Fenerbache streaks to the top of the Turkish league and moves all the way to the semi’s in CL. Does she get to the CL Finals in Berlin and is she the MVP over Egonu?
Karch can’t believe his luck and after a call from Guidetti he moves JT over to OH for the VNL’s and the USNT gets there 3rd gold in a row. Plummer and JT are huge in that run. Has Karch got the courage to bump one of his current four OH’s and also take Plummer to Tokyo as his backup OP?
Finally, Rettke discovers new found reading skills and she provides the blocking that only her size can bring and she contributes to that 3rd VNL gold. Foluke struggles with the physical challenge of returning to her previous form so quickly after having a baby. Karch is stuck now with tough MB’er choices.
But it all comes together and every player picked for Tokyo plays to their highest potential. Hancock hitting her patented serve sets the USNT into the semi’s where they defeat Italy. China takes out Serbia and in the greatest final in recent memory the USNT takes the gold from China in five sets. 23-21……. The MVP. Well ____________ of course.
Happy New Year to All.

Seems to me like Seliger-Swenson is clearly the starting setter for Béziers in the French League. Maybe they didn't use her in the CEV Challenge Cup matches so far because their opponent was "only" a club from Luxembourg (which is probably weaker than all the clubs they play in the French League). Do you have a link to the French A Ligue? I couldn't find the league website. So I just checked out the Challenge Cup stats and saw she wasn't starting so I figured she wasn't consistently starting. I'm glad to have been proven wrong. I am really hoping to see more of her this summer!

Here's the site for schedule/results and stats: lnv-web.dataproject.com/CompetitionMatches.aspx?ID=72&PID=95I used to pay more attention to the French League. But the streams for the league matches are behind a paywall since last season and i don't think i will subscribe. So i just follow the numbers a little bit.

Where will you watch the CEV Quali? In fact where can we watch the others? There seems to be no schedule up in volleyballworld.tv! Abysmal.

There seems to be no schedule up in volleyballworld.tv! Abysmal. Thats because the tournament is technically continental. Each confederation is responsible for broadcasting it's own tournament. I have a subscription to EurovolleyTV. It's 5 Euro's a month and I can watch all of the European Cups (Champions League, Cup and Challenge Cup) and the European Championships. Sometimes I have to use my VPN if Flo has the rights to some of the matches. As for the others AVC, NORCECA (probably the only other two worth watching) I am sure someone will upload them onto YouTube at some point.

Sherridan Atkinson to Nilufer (Turkish League)
— I thought she was injured that’s why she left Korea? Good job to her S&C for getting her back on track. Excited for her.
