Mid League Summaries/News:
So Plummer is headed to (Monza) in Italian Serie A1 and Thompson is joining Robinson with (Fenerbahce) in Turkish Venus Vestal Sultanlar Ligi.
MBH is rumored to transfer to (Vakifbank) now that (Beijing) was eliminated in the semi's of the Chinese League.
Larson and (Shenghai) are one win away from making the Chinese League finals and facing Tianjin for the title.
Many players are settling in nicely in their respective teams/leagues:
Ogbogu has started in every match for (Conegliano) post Club World Championships. She is playing very well. Hill continues to shine and is a vital cog in this seemingly unstoppable super team.
Washington and Lowe have paced (Busto Arsizio) to a second place finish in the first half of Italian Serie A1 and are on to the 8th finals round of the CEV Cup.
Hancock and Courtney are doing admirable with (Novara) which finished in 3rd place at the halfway point in Serie A1 after a rocky start due to injuries on the team.
Poulter and A. Rolfzen pulled (Chieri) to 8th place at the halfway point this season thus granting them a spot in the quarterfinals of the Coppa Italia, sadly they will play Conegliano and will likely be eliminated.
Foecke (Firenze), Jones-Perry (Brescia), Rosenthal (Stuttgart), K. Rolfzen (Dresdner), Wong-Orantes (Schwerin), Seliger-Swenson (Beziers) and Wilhite-Parsons (Bauru) are still fighting to consistently start for their respective teams.
(Caserta) released all of its foreign players so there is still no word on where Alhassan will land. She had been playing well for them so far this season. As a newly promoted team to A1...they are second to last on the league table.
Kindgon-Rishel is starting and playing decently for (T.H.Y.) and they finished 5th at the halfway point in VVS in Turkey. Her team is also into the 8th finals of the CEV Challenge Cup.
Drews (JT Marvelous) is in first place in her division in Japan.
Tapp (Hitachi) and Lee (Kurobe) are eliminated in Japanese league and playing in relegation rounds.
Benson is playing for (NUC) in Switzerland and appears to be doing well. They were eliminated from the CEV Cup but are tied for first in their domestic league.
Foluke is now 4 weeks post pregnancy and surely will begin her journey back to top form in the coming weeks.
Still no word on if Adams will pursue a new contract overseas for the winter/spring or if she will just stay domestic and train.
Other non-NT American players starting and playing well for their teams are Lindsey Vander-Weide (Nantes), Annie Mitchem (Bergamo), Nia Grant (Cuneo), Alex Holston (Plovdiv) and Symone Speech (Brescia).
