I am very much stressed out about this match.
I think if we pass well enough we can lean on Carlton, Kramer and Hammons.
If Sokolowski plays the entire match, she gets a new career high.

That doesn't sound too stressed out. lol If Hall doesn't play I would seriously be worried because UCF showed against FSU they could grind out a win, and this is for the State Championship.

UCF is a stress? I thought the Florida subregional is always a cupcake with the same teams every year: UF, UCF, FSU, FGCU, FAMU. Almost a guarantee Sweet 16 for the Gators.

trainermch To answer your poll question, it could be neither if Lindsey Ruddins and UCSB pull a major upset tomorrow 😊

Anyone who watched the FSU/UCF match knows that. UCF pretty much sets their 4 pin hitters. I think they’ll need 3 of those 4 to be really on tomorrow to pull it off. It’s definitely possible. Melville is like a 2nd libero for UCF but then she puts up 20+ kills too. I think it will be a good match with or without Thayer Hall. And for what its worth -- Pablo thinks UCF is slightly better than Hawaii and Florida State slightly worse than Hawaii.

Melville was indeed a stud last night against FSU. She not only had 20 kills on 90 swings but also set a new career high of 27 digs. Really fantastic player. At times she was noticeably trying to catch her breath in the last couple sets (understandably so). It was a hard fought match for sure with some very long rallies. Florida will definitely have the advantage of having only played three sets in their first round.
Hope both teams feel and look good tomorrow!

We didn’t have much trouble with them earlier this year. I don’t see us having much trouble this time around. Gators in 3.

I hear Head and Shoulders can fix that...
