Botkin and Lanier looked great today but Baylor is a very solid blocking team.
USC's better blocking than defending -- so we need to the block to perform well and try to slow down Yossi and give our backrow some beter chances.
Let's go Women!

USC fully possesses the talent to win this match up but will they remains to be seen. I think the Trojans have no pressure entering the match and Baylor has all eyes on them with the number one seed and not much tournament experience.
If Baylor plays solid and Pressley and Stafford show up they should be fine but if they get down early this could turn into a scary match in a hurry for the Bears.

Well, you've got the historical success rate of #1 overall seeds in the 2nd round since we moved to a 64-team tourney versus the historical failure rate of Big XII seeds not named Texas in getting out of their subregional in the conference's current form, so should be a close match!

Big day for Baylor fans. The Big12 football championship in Arlington at 11:00AM against Oklahoma with NCAA playoff implications could affect the attendance at this match. They scheduled it as late as possible 8:00PM so that helps a little bit. Lot of pressure on the Lady Bears but it should be a good test for them.

Wouldn't they seem more fearsome if they were called the Mama Bears?

Wouldn't they seem more fearsome if they were called the Mama Bears? They would if there were cubs close by.

USC is more talented - but Baylor being the #1 seed this should be a good match up. I’d say USC in 4.

This match will either be a sweep by Baylor or USC wins.
All season long USC has been banged up. IF Lanier and Botkin play well, Gross and LeGrand play solid ball for USC to win Lazaro must be at her free lance best and Botkin must show the form she had last season where she played at a All American level at times.

Raw talent means nothing if you can’t execute and be consistent. Well, injuries were a big part, and some say coaching. No telling how Baylor would have done with USC's schedule, but there's no doubt USC has been pretty erratic- their defense and passing aren't all that reliable.
