wait...what? Unless some idiot comes in, fires Cook's selected successor, and places some idiot left coast coach who thinks running a 6-2 would be best for Nebraska, benching or forcing transfers of the talent in lue of Jr College transfers they have their eyes on...this isn't even going to be a concern. Btw, most of the female sports are doing fine at Nebraska. But, don't let us stop your dreaming of what could be and satisfying that hate of yours...I am sure we will be ok in the meantime. Was that not the same thing said about the football program when Tom Osbourne retired. The Nebraska football team went from one of the Best programs in the Nation, to what it is now, just an average football team. If I were a Nebraska Women's Volleyball team fan, I would be concerned that the same thing may happen again, with their women's volleyball team. The same thing could be said for the Penn St. team once Ross Rose retires. did you not read my post? The issue w/football was the mass change by an idiot coach hired by an idiot AD who fired TO's successor after a 9wins season. The major overhaul of what was Nebraska done by Callahan ruined the program. Pelini had some resurgence but that was stopped short with his firing. Huskers football will be great again, but it is going to take years to fix and recover from the damage done by idiots who never valued or understood the treasure they had. That won't happen in volleyball, no matter which coach you believe Cook has selected as his successor, she (or he) will have already known what is great about Nebraska Volleyball, what is needed to continue to be great, and how to keep it going. I seriously doubt she(or he) will be fired under some scandal or pretense that there is a more successful way. What is great about Nebraska started before Cook, & will last well beyond Cook, which isn't to take away from the wonderful job Cook has done.

so completely different teams than either of those. Callie, Lexi, Maddie, Nicklin, Kenzie & Megan weren't even on the team in for 2017, & in 2018 it was literally the first match of the season in a Huskers uniform for Callie, Nicklin & Megan, & Lexi was still out recovering from a back injury. I wouldn't even consider it a fair viewing, might as well compare Club match ups. Are you serious? lol. BVS is a big-time player on any stage. What kind of argument are you trying to make? never even implied she wasn't ...nor anything about her Maybe improve your reading skills? I said the Husker team was completely different than what the poster had used to say SHE plays well against Huskers. Seriously? It was that hard for you to understand?

Traditionally, Hawaii has not done well in the NCAA’s in cold weather cities. They lost the 1996 championship match in Cleveland after Angelica Ljungquist, the 1996 AVCA POY (now Hawaii’s Associate Coach) got sick. Their undefeated 2004 team gout bounced in 5 by Wisconsin in Green Bay, with Jill Odenthal playing the match of a lifetime. The 2005 Wahine team blew a big opportunity to advance to the final four by losing to Missouri in the regional semi finals at University Park. Penn State was upset earlier by Tennessee so Hawaii would have played Tennessee in the regional final but it was not to be. Save Hannah Hellvig, Riley Wagoner, and Tiffany Westerberg, all of Hawaii’s other players are from warm weather climates. Nebraska does have a big advantage going in. In 2004, defensive specialist, Ashley Watanabe busted her hand in practice prior to the match. Had she been healthy, the results in Wisconsin might have been different. Also, Nikki Taylor's ankle in Minneapolis. In that one, Minnesota wins either way, but hoping for healthy players in all four regionals this weekend.

Your argument doesn't make sense. Nebraska was better the past two seasons so she'll obviously do better against a weaker Nebraska team.

Oh, I thought you were going to do a "...and Bob's your uncle..." bit, but I guess the guy you're replying to is actually named "Bob" (well, "Rob").

Your argument doesn't make sense. Nebraska was better the past two seasons so she'll obviously do better against a weaker Nebraska team. that is silly. While I won't be stupid and claim she has no way of being better than she had in the past, I will say it is silly to say she will. There isn't anything to compare to bring about a fair conclusion. You might as well say because she played well vs XYZ team she should dominate Nebraska, for it has the same comparable value. There is a reason we don't put too much weight in beginning of the season matches, and yet you're trying to use the first match of last season & 2 seasons ago vs a Husker team that doesn't even have 1/2 of the same players on the court, let alone that we are talking a sweet 16 game & not a first match of the season game, and conclude some value that suggests she will dominate...she didn't even dominate then, she did alright but that isn't the same.
