I almost wonder if Sydney was dealing with an illness against UCSB because it seemed like they wanted to pull her quite early in the match but resisted and then finally did. Seems weird to me that they would be even thinking about it that quickly. In fairness, Petersen hasn't passed great all year and was poor against Albany and awful against SB for 3 sets. So while it could've been exacerbated by an illness or injury, it's not as if her passing has been stellar.

Isn't ya girl Khat Bell a proven flamer? we’re going with slurs now? 1. Slur does not apply here. 2. But if you insist, ask horns1, as he was the one who threw it out there.

Hot off the Photoshop presses. I call this latest creation, “Bruised, but not Beaten.” The Horns took some blows, but Jerritt gets to wear the hat in the end. I wanna be a cowboy, Barbara.YIKES

The Cards would have to serve incredible tough and block very very well to pull this out. I don’t see TX not hitting smart with range.

Texas will sweep. Jerritt proudly wears his battle scars (and his new hat) into the regional final.
The Horns reached a form late in the UCSB match that would be really hard to stop. The question is whether they can sustain that form, because they obviously didn’t do it against the Gauchos.

Actually, Texas raised their level of play immensely from the second and third to the fourth set and sustained it through the critical fifth set. No one can predict with certainty if that play can continue one week later.
Obviously, we weren't as up and down in our play throughout each set like Nebraska was against Mizzou.

I chuckled over the bait in the last paragraph. I appreciate your concern. We’ll be okay. While it took a while for Texas to get cranking, I think the UCSB match showed that Texas has as high of a ceiling as anybody. I really believe that.
