Lol @ people hating on Texas, we’re used to it by now. Upsets happens, this was still a team that was one of the last 16 teams remaining. Although this end didn’t reach the extremely high standards our program has earned it doesn’t mean we suck or that we have bad coaching. Still proud of our team regardless of the results. Hook ‘em This match doesn't. It's your perpetual underachievement that proves you have bad coaching. Hope Jerritt and his wife have fun in Ibizia this spring. Hook 'em.

Looking at the stats, I can’t fathom how Texas lost? They hit pretty well and everyone was hitting .300 or above except Micaya. What happened? Louisville's defense in the fifth set was fire There were two points before they reached 10 in the fifth that were just insane and allowed them to grow their lead from 3 to 4 and/or 4 to 5. Just huge difference making points.

No they didn’t. This was a “win on a platter” match for Texas. They had no business losing to a crappy 6 acc losses team! You think Nebraska or Stanford loses to these types of teams at home?! NO. NEVER. Texas has the best athletes/hitters in the game, and consistently! It’s why I overly mad right now , bcuz they have no business losing these games. With all the talent they’ve had the past decade, they should have 3-4 nattys already. I’m sick of Stanford and Nebraska winning, over it. Step the !!!!###$$$!!! up Texas. Sheesh Please know your volleyball history. Never say never. huskers.com/news/2011/12/2/205341590.aspxgostanford.com/news/2012/12/9/208086791.aspxI’m well aware of history, thanks! If fact, let’s take a look at a sample size here. I’ll focus on just Nebraska, in the sweet 16, in the last 10 years! 2009 - 10 seed def. 7 Iowa St 3-0 (easy win over higher seed) 2010 - 2 seed upset by Washington 1-3 (UW was/is a powerhouse program, this isn’t a surprise or upset really, plus their bitter rivals) 2011 - 2 seed upset by KSU 2-3. (This is an anomaly for sure) 2012 - 4 seed def. 13 Washington 3-0 (....platter....) 2013 - 8 seed def 9 San Diego 3-0 (....again platter) 2014 - 14 seed UPSETS 3 Wash 3-1 (another sweet 16, another win...) 2015 - 4 seed def 13 BYU 3-0 (...again platter) 2016 - 1 seed def 16 PSU 3-2 (barn burner but another win vs a prob under seeded dominant program 2017 - 5 seed def Colorado 3-0 ( platter win again) 2018 - 7 seed def 10 UK 3-0 (another platter win) So....in ten years, what have we learned...Nebraska doesn’t lose Sweet 16...no problem...they win Take notes Texas (who btw has had WAY better athletes in the past 15 years!!) Had Texas lost to a UW, Florida, UCLA, I wouldn’t have made the “platter win” comment, but this is Lville. LOUISVILLE people!

Louisville was led by a couple freshmen and doesn’t have a senior playing. I never said that they weren't a young team I am very much aware of the fact that they are young. I said we (Texas) are a young team. The cards didn't play like inexperienced players which is great for them and their level of poise! However, we did. We played tight and made some crucial errors. Regardless, both teams have a lot to look forward to. Texas, year in and year out looks like the new car in the drive way. . .only to go to the tournament and be exposed as having glaring weaknesses that were never addressed during the season because Texas rarely improves as a team throughout the season. The Big12 is primarily composed of substandard programs that offer no preparation for the tournament. They also historically do a poor job of training setters. Shook was an elite level club/HS setter. . . She just never evolved and was shelved for Gabriel who is an absolute defensive liability. . . Can’t block and acts like being able to dig a ball is not in her job description. I hope they have Elliott signed on for the next decade. . . All in all, just another great season ender for college volleyballs shiny jalopy. .

I became a fan of Whomever Texas plays after their classless play down the stretch against UCSB. Their players were taunting the Gauchos facing the opponents after points. Don’t have a place for that in volleyball in my opinion. The horn had it coming.... (I do think O’Neil seemed to handle her self well against UCSB tho, and I was glad to see that) Another year of disappointing potential not matching results down south.

Imagine what it was like for club kids playing against that AZ Storm team with Lanier, Stivrins, and Willow, ha. They had a great run. Can’t remember who the other MB was. For 17's and 18's club year it was Makena Patterson (Texas A&M)...pretty good team! So with Oleksak and throw in the leading point scorer at CU this year (Spann) and well, you understand their success. Libero was great too, but she only played one year at LMU and left volleyball.

Gold at 15 Open, Gold at 16 Open, Silver at 17 Open and Bronze at 18 Open - Patterson (playing up a year) was back-up MH behind Hannah Combs at 17’s when AVA Texas beat them in Finals. May have been starter last year. 18’s brackets got flipped in Pool and they lost to Gold Medalist MN Select with Hilley, Martin, Mosser and CC McGraw in Semis instead of Finals. Libero was Kam Hill. Amazing they stuck together and got 4 medals! Fun group to watch every year. Best 4 year run in recent times at GJNC’s.

Texas has many seniors this year. One senior I felt that she was so underachieve at Texas was Orie Agbaji. I felt.bad for her. Not sure what happened. If she could have gone somewhere else, she might have blossomed. She was highly touted coming out of high school. Hardly got any playing time at Texas. Really too bad.
Now I am wondering if Shook would transfer her final year to somewhere else or not. She won't probably see any court time with a new setter coming in at Texas.

I honestly don’t know how Texas lost this with the amount of talent they have/had.
No disrespect to Louisville but talent-wise Texas should’ve easily won this.

How does Texas come into back to back tourny matches seemingly unprepared. That’s on coaches for not having them ready.
