Does anyone know the nature of Rattray's injury?

UCSD deserves credit. They played well.

And the fat lady sings.
When was the last time Bruins lose to UCSD. Don’t think it happens often... given how often they’ve played each other over the years.
Congrats to UCSD!

It’s maddening they have the players to be so good, I’m shock that Speraw didn’t make more subs.

UCLA serve receive was poor. And their defense was not good. And their blocking overall was not good. And their hitting percentage was too low. And setting not great. Not a good match for UCLA.

I want to give UCSD credit: their left sides compliment each other very well, they're a strong serving team, and Lew has been putting on a passing clinic this season.
But I'm also extremely disappointed in UCLA. To have that much depth with that many top recruits and still look sloppy is so underwhelming. Kofi is only a 3-rotation middle -- there or not, he can't save them the whole match. The Jensen Experiment needs a break. I don't know what Eschenberg or Parks or Maleski have done to never get playing time (or if they're all just injured) but this is painful.
Yes, it's early in the season. Yeah there's a high ceiling and all that wonderful positive forward-thinking but let's be real.

Kobrine didn’t get much of a chance setting when Jensen was noticeably way off and Parks didn’t even see the court. They seem to want to wait for Jensen to develop.

Give UCSD credit. They have a good team, and played very well. If they can be consistent on the season, they'll climb the rankings quickly.

Which seems like a good long term plan but when they're playing a freshman OH, a freshman OPP, a redshirt freshman middle, a combination of a freshman/sophomore libero, it just seems to me like maybe you should sub in your experienced redshirt sophomore setter to bring balance to how the ball is being moved around. But sure, UCLA, keep forcing Jensen.
