UCLA just not there right now. UCSD has great ball control, and I was very impressed with their transition game.

4 true freshman and 3 red-shirt freshman on the court last night. That is a work in progress.

The sets were too close to the net all night, can Jensen do better?

Speraw is a good coach for the national team but he completely underachieved at UCLA. He has done nothing with the numerous no 1 recruiting classes except making his team serve their way to defeats from victories It IS troubling that he really has fallen fall short of expectations when he came over from UCI. You have to wonder whether the split attention b/w UCLA and the National Team hurts his development of UCLA players more than the recruiting boost he gets from it.

It does feel like the ucla job is just an afterthought.
